Pathological narcissism, much?

Seriously, this was just a stupid idea. What kind of human being would be so full of himself to do something like this?

It's just embarrasing, frankly.

And why didn't any of his handlers recognize how silly this would be? He has a zillion flunkies hovering around him at all time, probably each one paid more in a year than I'm likely to earn in most of my lifetime, and even I could have told him this would make him look really, really bad.

For somebody so obviously concerned with his image, this is a breathtakingly stupid move.

Please, please please Ameicica -- Vote this meglomaniac out in 2012!!!!

...President Obama stopped by an early childhood education laboratory to read to children ages 3 to 5....Some of the kids didn't seem to think the caricature looked much like their guest. "That's because when they made this book I didn't have any gray hair," Obama said.

He wanted, among his selections, a book about his dog. The book has one picture of himself in it. These are 3 to 5 year-olds... I doubt they fill his ego. I can't believe this article came from a legitimate news source.

I saw this book at the book store about a year ago. The 1st thing I thought was that if there was a children's book of George Bush or heck even the past 2 or 3 presidents the MSM would go INSANE with it.

But not after everyone has had thier healthy dose of Kool-Aid and gone to the rock show; "look at me, I am the great and powerful Obama, look at me!".

And we wonder what is wrong with our country....

Just shows you how pathetic he is,
lets not vote him in again please!
Seems to me he should be taking
care of business in the country
instead of showing off.

Topic derail much?

Back to the topic now:

If the book was about his dog then no, it is only a mild problem with his ego. If it was about himself, then its off the wall. So, which is it? How many of the pages actually bring him up in any way?

Headline: Obama reads children book about himself

url: obama-reads-kids-book-about-dog-bo/1

Article:

Among his reading selections: A book about the presidential dog Bo, including a drawing of the president himself.

Never happy with a stick you have play Charlie-big-spuds and pretend you are armed with Nukes. The point behind this story could have been offered (has legs) without the sensationalist bull# (a simple 'Ahh, the man likes doggies, kids like doggies too. He must be a nice man) but you lot just can't help yourselves can you. There is another consideration for altering the angle of attack, obviously, which is when 'your man' get in and pulls the same # people might be wise to it.

No wonder so many don't believe anything offered in the political arena today, they are disillusioned with your tedious left/right partisan politics crap.

I do applaud you for posting in the correct forum though

This forum is dedicated to the discussion of the state of divisive politics in the US including political ideology,

Topic derail much, troll? I wish ATS would use the ban button more liberally on obvious trolling.

Sorry I did not realize you also enjoyed the book and read it.

Ohhh Beez that was awesome
You should write that book yourself! Well at least with Obama reading a book to kids he can't cause any trouble.

Meanwhile I'm thinking, "golly, it's nice to have a president who can read!"

Betcha if three thousand Americans died while he was reading, he'd excuse himself immediately, too.

Thanks guys!

Like my grandfather used to say, "Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then".

Obama's next book is going to be a connect-the-dots.

What was the book Idiot's Guide to Health Care and Economy?

Dumbo would have been a better choice, he wouldn't of needed a puppet to go along with the story.

Why is it that even after 3 years you guys still counter every criticism of Obama with a jibe at Bush?

When does Obama get to grow up, be a big boy, and take responsibility for his gaffes? Never?

Maybe while he's at it he could read a book about how he faked his birth certificate.

Moral of the story...anyone in America can become President, even a socialist from Kenya.
