Russia & China veto UN resolution on sanctions against Syria

Russia and China have vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on Syria. The European-backed draft called on Damascus to end its crackdown on protesters, or face "targeted measures". But Moscow and Beijing said this could open the door to a Libya-style military intervention. RT's Marina Portnaya has the latest from New York.

Well, I've said a few times this would happen, they vetoed external sanctions, and any military action, and Russia said, its all one sided accusations in Syria, and is unacceptable, to which the US, voiced extreme disappointment at Russia and China, vetoing the proposed resolution.

And is said to have caused massive divisions in the security council now, and Russia vowed to not let any action by the west take place in Syria.

As I've said many times, Russia can't afford to let any intervention take place in Syria.

SCARY TIMES.

The US voices extreme disappointment at Russia and China a trillion times a day. And it's easy to see why if you aren't fast asleep.

Well we have Libyans against Libyans, Iraqis against Iraqis, Syrians against Syrians, Afghans against Afghans, Yemenis against Yemenis, Arabs against Arabs, this is a new and modern warfare tactic for world domination and invasion, and why all of these kill and smash each other to the stone ages, the west cleans out there resources and wealth.

Its genius really, but Syria is and will be the stumbling block, expect this to turn very nasty, if NATO goes ahead, with its planned intervention.

NATO and the UN make up the rules as they go along, and the west stop caring about, what the people want years ago, i mean, did any of us, get to vote on the Iraq invasion NO, did any of us get a say on the afgan invasion, NO, did any of us get even a single word in, on whether to invade Libya, no we didn't, so it doesn't matter what the people think or want anymore, they just go ahead with there plans regardless of what the majority of the people want.

ALL IN THE NAME OF DEMOCRACY/HYPOCRISY

It is not surprising that autocracies support each other. For China and Russia to support sanctions against a nation who is presiding over a high degree of repression, would be to make a rod for their own backs. China remains a gnats whisker from a Tiananmen Square Massacre Round 2 and would not wish to give any hope to the Chinese that protests may actually work demostically and have wider global consequence.

Typically, in global politics the democracies sit on one side and the repressive, undemocratic autocracies sit on the other. Generally, they support each other.

It is in China’s interest to make sure the spread of democracy – or the overthrow of autocracy – is halted. Sanctions may hasten the end of an autocracy and ultimately the end of the Chinese single-party-state-repressive-regime.

Here! Here! Fantastic comment and I really couldn't put it better myself. Freedom? In the US? Where exactly is that hahaha!in the hands of those who can afford it that's where. Anyway thanks for posting on my thread, and everyone else too, but America really needs to wind its neck in, whens Susan Rice walked out of last nights UNSC meeting when Syria mentioned the US use of 50 veto in support of Israel and the genocide the have committed was laughable. America can be as outraged as it wants and America can walk out of UNSC meetings all it wants, all as I will say to that is the truth hurts doesn't it?

Thanks

No, really they want to draw the USA and NATO into a war in the Middle East, Iran or Syria will do.

Both have vowed to attack Israel, if attacked... and that will assure a broader ME war, one that will cost the west, especially the USA a great deal.

Brilliant component of a much longer term plan to weaken the west, both economically and militarily.

Will the U.S. bite?

Stay tuned.

militarily Russia is of a strength which you cannot imagine with its psychotronic and torsional weaponry.Bioweapons and Pure fusion weaponry like the red mercury bombs are also russian speciality.and they have 200 massive underground cities and thousands of massive underground bunkers for nuclear war survival.

Want Russia to give you a taste of some of the weapons? sure will be fun

Russia has been preparing to fight and win for the last 50 years.

Russia and China have no intentions of getting involved militarily, if the US and NATO choose military intervention.

Their (PUBLIC) support of these regimes is strictly intended to embolden them. When the bombs fall, and war breaks out, they will not be involved, other than as suppliers of weapons, ammunition, intelligence and moral support.

Their presence is strictly to embolden the regime.

Check the construction and reactivation of several bunkers across Russia. 5000 underground bunkers have been constructed in Moscow.

Check what mundane astrologers have to say .They believe in next 8 years ww3 will happen and Victor will be Russia.

Russia is the fist of the Archangel Michael.

----
attack syria and you attack Russia. Then the fun starts .It will be a wholesale slaughter of your lard laced populace.

Exactly. And who has to pay for these wars? Us. When these wars escalate, who will be forced to fight in them? Us. Who will die? Certainly not the warmongers who are profiting from this crazy mess.
