This is not really a cryptozoological question as I guess that this is a know type of animal but I think that this is the best board to ask.

Anyone here can give me a hint or tell me what this animal is:


This creature is sitting (without any movement visible for hours) at my office wall and definitely alive as it moved it's place since yesterday (maybe during night when noone is in the office). My office is in Hamburg, Germany and this type of animal is totaly unkown to me. Never seen anything close to this in Germany. Maybe it's a visitor from another country invaded by plane?

Is this even an insect with just 4 legs? If needed I can provdid a better image tomorrow as the office camera is pretty old and my own is at home.

I tried it , Google T moth

looks like something that should live in the water.
i've never seen one of these before, look at its tail/mouth thing.
If it falls or you decide to move it could you take a picture of its underside?

I think its called a Plume moth.

If it is a moth its the first moth I've ever seen like that, and that's ever stayed still that long. Weird.

I googled Plume moth and moth in general but they have 6 legs and wings. This creature has just 4 legs and no wings. The parts going to the left and right are fixed at 90deg to the body.
All the pictures I can find displaying a moth are different with 6 legs and wings.
I suspect that the two extensions to the left and right are the two missing legs just that evolution transformed them into something fixed.
