Do I need to make any long-term plans? Say.....past Dec. 2012? No, seriously, do I?
Also, how are my housing situations going to work out? I have 3 headaches right now, and I don't know what to do with them next, or which one to act
on first?
Your first question is very interesting. What does the I Ching suggest to do for Dec 2012?
Well, the oracle is Hexagram 50: The Apocalypse and End of Worlds. JK! No, it's 50: The Caldron. This is a really neat hexagram. It is made up of the
trigrams Fire over Wood. This makes sense because we can picture a Caldron as sitting on a wood fire. The Caldron brews up the idea of Nourishment as
the Caldron is a cooking vessel. I think this idea of nourishment applies here because society is built on long-term plans, in a way we can say
society is nourished by them. Without long-term plans, society would have a great deal of difficulty surviving. Linking this to 2012, if everyone
canceled their long-term plans in preparation for 2012, society would lose out because it was counting on those people to get those things done. So
that is something to take into consideration with your long term plans.
The first lines change, which means the caldron is upside down which empties out the stagnating stuff, and a man takes a concubine because his wife
couldn't produce a child, but there is no blame. Perhaps this says that future plans will have to be put on hold. The caldron is put on hold from
producing nourishment because it has to clean itself of what was left over and dirty. Some people refer to 2012 as the Great Purge. Perhaps it will be
a time in your life where you have to get rid of that which is old and leftover, in preparation for future plans. As for taking a concubine with no
blame, I suppose this might have to do with your past and future plans. The wife cannot bear a child, might mean your previous plans might not reach
fruition. There has to be a change in plans which no one can blame you for. It is by carefully adapting to scenarios that one can continue to work
well and efficiently.
The second line changes which states there is food in the caldron. Its comrades are envious, but they cannot harm it. Good Fortune. In the last
instance the caldron is empty, but in the next it is filled with food. Perhaps they are envious that you can easily produce much after 2012 when they
can produce little. It's important to keep making plans and achieving them regardless of how envious others might be.
The top line changing means the caldron has jade carrying rings. This is good fortune. Jade is hard in strength, but still very beautiful in
appearance. Perhaps this is saying how you should build your plans. They should be firm so that they are sturdy enough to be carried out and relied
upon when trouble brews, but they should look beautiful as in your plans should have an elegant finesse to them.
When the lines change we have Hexagram 55, Abundance. After 2012, we'll have a period of abundance. This will be a time of great happenings and many
things are made possible. However, things this abundant do not last, and they should be cherished. We should not be sad for 2012, but we should be
excited for this magnificent time to come.
For your housing situation, your oracle is Hexagram 11: Peace transforming into Hexagram 5: Waiting. This doesn't really seem to connect with your
situation, so I'm puzzled. It says there is a great deal of harmony involved with your housing situation and you seem to be in control of the
situation. It says good fortune will come, and anything evil will disappear on its own.
The fifth line changes which talks of giving up the daughter in marriage and this will bring blessings and supreme good fortune. Is there a house,
which you look on as the daughter in the family of houses? Perhaps this is the one you should sell.
The future is illustrated in Hexagram 5: Waiting. Good things will come on their own time, but it will be a period of waiting for you. Waiting is not
merely hoping, it is also about having a certainty that you will reach your goals. The certainty in itself will give you the light that will lead you
to success. Perseverance is important and you mustn't give up, not especially since you've come so far. Impatience isn't going to do anything for
you except cause headache. It talks more of waiting, and not interfering before the time is right. It talks of being happy and in good cheer because
good will come in time.
