One of our respected members here on ATS "Slayer69" just created a very thought-provoking thread about OWS. If you are confused about this protest (as I have been) this is a good thread to clear some things up. Whether you agree with OWS or not, he does make some good points.

The only thing that we owe anyone is those who paid to social security.
As far as food stamps go we should go back to the older system that was actually
food made i n america and not some credit system.
What Alex Jones and Ron Paul suggest is to take down the federal reserve using the constitution
all these unjusts can be addressed. That is the only way to get the nation on board.

Because this is nothing more than a Soros dog and pony show that the Obama administration and Moveon.org have been guiding all along. These protesters are playing right into their hands. Hell, half of them dont even know what they are protesting for

Okay, I am assuming you have been along to one of the Occupy protests to be able to categorically state that?

Or are you using someone elses opinion to form one for yourself?

Why don't you get out there on the 15th October, when Occupy goes Global and then come back to us with video evidence of what you have implied.

Peaceful Non Compliance.October 15th. Occupy will go Global.

Actually, I went downtown to the one here in Louisville to see for myself. Oh sure, everybody was protesting, but it seemed EVERYONE was protesting something different. End the Fed. Mortgage practices, Government handouts. Take your pick. Everyone was holding a different sign. Brings to mind an old great song. Signs signs everywhere a sign.

You shouldn't assume.

You shouldn't assume.

When someone leaves a post open to assumptions, what to do?

The thing is there are so many injustices being inflicted upon the people that you would expect a varying range of issues being protested against!! What are you suggesting? One issue at a time?

How would that work?

The thing is most people can see the need for Government, but a Government that isn't in the pocket of Banks and Global organisations, because as much as you may dislike socialism, it sure beats facism.

I left my post open to nothing. I am simply saying don't impose your idea of my person on me when you have no knowledge of me.

Yes, there are many issues that need to be dealt with, but there is no organisation, there is no real goal, there is no real path for these people to tackle all the issues at the same time. It stinks of a set up. Soros has his fingers so far into this movement that the protesters cant see the puppet strings tied to them. This will be used in the coming elections by Obama as a stepping stone for his re-election.

And socialism is just as bad as fascism. The fact is, BOTH leave the citizens reliant upon the Government when it should be the Government that is reliant on its citizens.
