Well she thinks It doesn't do the job It's supposed to and It needs to be replaced with something substantially better - which is a good thing - those who are saying she wants to completely abolish human rights in the UK, or anything like that in fact, are just plain wrong. And a lot are seemingly saying this..

Anyway this thread is pretty confusing. What's your point supposed to be exactly?

When a politician tells a conference "I am not making this up" it's usually a good reason to double check the facts.

www.bbc.co.uk...

cats got your tounge now, someone needs to explain what they are replacing the human rights act with if anything fairly quickly imho.

Apologists already ? We'll call it cat trap if nothing else . Where didnt it get fallen in? And we heard them clapping . She wants to scrap it and replace it with a weak substitute , that never holds up .
Well she wont and we know the colour of their creed

You don't even know what yet. If you're going to hate on the government at least do it for a valid reason.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but the government isn't always looking for ways to make our lives utterly miserable here. And not every idea they have has an ulterior motive or hidden agenda.

I do know what , that Cameron will try and announce a 'British Bill of Rights' tomorrow . It certainly will not be made of a European Convention . Neither a UN Declaration . It 'll be a poxy Tory watered down 'liberalisation' of the laws which govern the governments .

As regards the ulterior motives , you dont fool me . Cameron may pretend to be the people's champion but he has never even tried real life . One look at his face will tell you that . And pretence is hyper-important while you are screwed in the economic orifaces , or so to speak . There is no hidden agenda in plain impotence though , agreed .

That accusation can be applied to most of todays politicians, Clegg and both Millibands included. That's the trouble with poliutics today - all rhetoric and no valid life experience.
