There is more than enough resources for 7 billion people on this planet. Look around, most of the planet has unused land. This could be used to supply people. Rather than raping the resources, they could be rationalized, and distributed to everyone. We have the resources to do this, if the rich would stop raping them.

If all the wealth in the world were evenly divided each person would get less than 10k.
Someone working a minimum wage job in the U.S is already making about 33 percent more than that.
Is that enough to be comfortable or raise a family in this country? No.
But people need to think through these demands to redistribute the wealth.
You'll more than likely be one of the ones giving up some.

So what about a system where money isn't needed? I find some of these replies disguisting, Nothing but keyboard warriors. You're all pretty switched on, We know whats wrong but when any group of people actually stand up and fight for your long lost freedoms you do nothing but complain.

A redistrubtion of wealth? No. Get rid of the monetary system altogether, find another incentive for people to work that isnt simply a buffer to slavery. I don't believe money is the issue, Greed and Power are.

Get rid of money? Good luck with that. It will never happen.
What you want to trade? So I build a house for you and you promise to give me some animals to slaughter next fall. I need meat in the meantime. Could you maybe write that promise down for me. A guy in town said if you wrote it down and I signed it over to him, he would give me some meat now against the future meat. I just have to agree to give him some fo the future meat. And write it down, you know so nobody gets confused, or forgets, or takes advantage.

You see where this is going right? Money exists for a reason.

That has to be the dumbest thing I ever head.

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SUFFERING! EVEN MORE IF THERE WAS NO SYSTEM!

Who even said you deserve a system?

You honestly think all suffering is the CAUSE of the system itself?

You are so confused kid.

Go back a billion years ago, the system was SURVIVAL. There is was no concept of GOOD.

If a good system was brought in, one of abundance, where resources were harvested wisely and properly, and distributed to everyone, there would be no suffering. I am not talking about communism either. We need a new system, something thats never been done before. Something without motive or greed. It is possible, we just can't see past that dollar sign.... Tesla did.

Wait a minute so the Stimulus package which they are "demanding", and is apparently wrong, wait a minute, wasn't that the same type of stimulus or bailout package that banks and corporations were granted when they were in trouble? Isn't that the same thing as helping a large group of people to keep their house? or their car? or the well being of their family?

Your very narrow minded, and you honestly have no idea what your talking about, some of these people may have majors in The Artistic Nature of Ebonic Children, and they would show more sign of intelligence and charisma than you ever will in your entire life.

You know what? Just keep grinding away on your 9-5 job until you get laid off, and then you'll be leading the charge for those "kids and hippies".

Pathetic.

Can't go back a billion years, seeing as the oldest documented civilization is only 5124 years old. Back then when the sumerians were thriving the planet, they lived on a plane of higher consciousness. We have since slowly dropped out of that higher consciousness, and we are now at a point where we are completely disconnected from nature. technology is more important than sunshine. We dont have a connection with the earth anymore. We are forced to work jobs we dont want to, and even if we are rich, we live such materialistic lives that we don't even know what our purpose is. We are a disconnected race. We need to reestablish the connection with nature, regain that higher consciousness, and live in harmony with each other. This is possible. It is a paradigm shift, but its still possible.

The Sumerians suffered a lot more then we did as you type along on a COMPUTER. Come on, that time was a much colder reality full of all sorts of things we would now call depraved. We are as close to a utopia as we will ever get. You are so deluded.

Can you even see 50 years into the future? Take a look at the past 100 years. We went from the birth of the car, to landing on the moon, to a technological age..... Meanwhile, earths resources getting used up, without being replenished. Fish are dying, bees are disappearing, food crops are getting harder to keep up with the demand. Pollution is getting worse, animals are going extinct, and poverty is at an all time high.

Where will we be in 50 years if we continue on this road?

Forget all the old systems, no more isms, no more ists. How about a system of abundance, where there is no 1% and there is no 99%, but simply, a 100%.

"everything without profit, everyone would have their fare share."

To each according to their need, from each according to their ability.....eh comrade?

Ayn Rand is spinning like a lathe in her grave

If everything is done sans profit, they what reason would someone give a rats but to be innovative? Why try hard at anything if its just going to be handed to you anyway?

The drive for "reward" is primal. Rats in a maze or chickens in a "skinner box" will not cooperate without the prize at the end. Period.

Capitalism isnt the problem. Predatory Capitalism is.

You never want to destroy your competitor completely. His next triumph will be your challenge to "one up"! That is healthy capitalism.

We have a form of State Capitalism (now) that is similar to socialism.

While your points on the fed are legit, what do yall expect to get done once in power?

From the many of the people involved, the stench of Communism and Socialism are quite acrid.

Francis Scot Piven?

Were your kind actually able to topple the government (you do realize that you are all tools correct?), do you think that everyone would be on board?

No.

You would have mass civil war. The powers of either Russia or China would pounce and you "useful idiots" (to quote comrade Stalin), would be disposed of post haste.

Remember my dear prole what happened in mother russia. The bolsheviks promised the stars and gave them the coal mines and siberian steppes.

In my opinion, your "revolution" is a part of the take down mentioned. It plays into their hands.

Martial Law.

Why do we have to compete? Why do we have to have a reward? Do you really think that people would sit around and do nothing with their lives if they didn't have to earn money? Really? No. People don't like to be bored. The only reason people sit around and do nothing now, is because making money is simply discouraging. Want to be a millionaire.... work your ass off... or play video games and not care. That is why people are lazy. Money makes people lazy, just as much as it makes them motivated. Take money out of the equation, and people would thrive at all the things they love to do, because you just remove the barrier preventing them of doing that.

]The Sumerians lived at a higher level of consciousness??? Well, perhaps compared to apes. Their greatest accomplishment (and it WAS an accomplishment) was the rule of law in the form of "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth". I am not saying that we should not seek to find a living that is a passion, we should, but to say that back in the day it was all so much better...I just don't buy it.

Well, because this is your result.

You appreciate what you build and earn. You have contempt for what is given to you.

There must be an exchange of energy in some form.

Why would a farmer go break his back to feed you when he can just do the bare minimum and feed himself?

What reason would he get up before dawn in the summer to do half his work and finish after nightfall when the temperature was tolerable?

Just to feed free loaders?

Would you take in, say, a group of 4 people. They dont contribute but expect you to feed and clothe them?

Why should you?

Kleptocracy. Kleptomaniacs.

Michael Moore interviewed by Keith Olbermann on "Countdown"

It's spreading whether we agree it's "working" or not. To start with I was thinking, ok some kids and happy people are on the street and they got no idea. But the more I've watched it, I think, hey, they don't know what they are protesting about, they just need to protest, they are sick of everything. Who cares if it's not written down in concrete.
The vid shows it spreading. Don't know what you think about MM but it's another angle to the story, the rallies starting internationally.

Demonstrators have marched and chanted in Boston, Chicago, Albuquerque, Los Angeles, Denver. Tomorrow its Philadelphia, Thursday DC, and a separate event in Houston; on the 15th, Phoenix and Pittsburgh, also being planned rallies in small cities, Santa Fe, Little Rock, Mason City, Iowa, Japan and Europe might be next.

Haha! Dude. Let me straighten this out a bit. I don't think ANY COMPANY deserves ANY money from the government. The only people who need to be 'bailed out' are those who are dying and starving. People who have the physical ability and mental prowess to work don't deserve free money, and failing corporations don't either. I work in the public housing sector, there are serious poverty issues in this country and the super-poor who can't even heal themselves need the funding to survive. These are the types of programs that need better funding! These loons who trek over to NYC just to lollygag around don't deserve JACK. Just because they can't work a little harder they just whine and complain.

A jab at my charisma and intelligence is unrelated to this topic, so please keep the personal attacks to a minimum, it makes you look immature. Next thing I know you're going to be calling me one of the "sheeple."

As far as getting laid off goes? Whatever. Hypothetically, if I did get laid off I would just work hard and find a new job, start my own business, or live in the woods somewhere and hunt. The sky is the limit really. If you haven't gotten my point so far, it's that people rely on this government far to much. Just like they are right now, they don't realize that they themselves are the problem, we are all the problem. We are all in denial. WE created these machines that we despise so very much.

I'm trying to have a healthy debate here, so lets keep the immature comments and lifestyle jabs to a minimum.

Created "crisis" by your "leaders".

Believe it or not, you are doing EXACTLY as they would have you do.

I've still yet to have one person give me any concept of a goal of all this BS and what you would do if you even succeeded.

"Oh, we would run it all better!"

Really? Who are the leaders?

Why are you all attacking the tail of the monster? Wall St. is a symptom friend....not the disease.

Your "protest/pseudo-revolution" is barely even a placebo.

I totaly agree with you i think a new system need to be made , convict doesnt work to live , why should we work , people think they should work , sometime people doesnt even think why but mostly it made to feed the current system.
We should be able to live withouth doing anything , there is enough way to automate a lot of process nowaday.
Technology need to be associated with clever idea, not used to debilitate mass.
Why because capitalism will create a gap anyway between people, im not for comunism either , we are not speaking about making clone withouth emotion like the nwo .

Im not agreeing with the 1 of the op i think, the outsourcing ia killing the job in your country, i think there is a demographic factor and the fact that even if you reduce the work hours the company doesnt want to raise their payroll because they will pay tax and other associated costs.
Some country like china doesnt play by the rule because they are marking them since they produce the most cash.
The more cash you get bigger the gap is about everything that what going on today in our system.
Policy should be made to give the priority in local company , for exemple tax cut a clear label a separate space to sell local product in supermarket and so on .

You react by shoving your head up your ass and telling yourself lies of magical rainbows.

Existence will always have suffering. There are some truths you refuse to understand, you sound very naive and you actually believe sumeria was a magical land of higher conciousness. It was just a bunch of farmers flooding their lowland desert landscape. It would have been to a horrible time to live, I believe much more than now.
