Apple IIE and Atari 2600 Emulators

I downloaded the emulators for these 2 systems. Both open only in MS WORD.
The Apple IIE Oasis Emulator is the one I am really trying to get to work.

Has anyone ever tried an emulator, and if so, can explain it in layman terms how to get them to work?
