We need to confirm the legitimacy of this video and claim. And if the Anon community truly believes this should be attempted. Other wise it is reasonable to speculate that this is a false flag Op by the CIA

If people want change.....REALLY want change it's not gonna come easy.It's gonna be tough,there's gonna be pain when the whole thing dies.There's gonna be pain when the whole thing is born again.

That's just the way it works. I applaud anyone who's willing to shake things up in a time when fighting for your country and the rights of the people can make you a "terrorist".

They will not be taking out the exchange's servers or trade processing platforms. Period. The public website is meaningless, it's an advertisement. It's like defacing an IBM billboard and then claiming that you hacked into IBM's crown jewels.

Anything dealing with money is not on the public internet. As they say, "9/11 changed everything." They were dealing with scenarios involving multiple physical assaults and power cuts. (The bottom of the WTC was a big communications hub). Kids with DDOS tools don't mean jack.

All the exchanges have very redundant, direct-access physical fiberoptic (and probably microwave backup) links to all the primary broker-dealers. JPM and GS don't send their critical trades through the internet.

And in any case, even if the exchange goes down (it can do so for internal technical faults) it's a problem, but now with 'dark pools' and off-exchange trading of listed securities all the big guys (i.e. everybody except you) can still manage their positions.

Actually, disrupting the bond market and money market would be far, far, far, more damaging than equities. When the bond market turns into a floating goldfish that's when you get actual massive panic (c.f. Bear & Lehman) and actual damage. The reason is that if there is a rumor financial institutions cannot fund, everybody who is a counterparty (and therefore has credit risk from the institution) will withdraw, precipitating a bank run. There are rumors that GS knew this and did it to Lehman.

But the bond and money markets (long vs short, the same thing in principle) are decentralized. Where is the New York Bond Exchange? Doesn't exist, and won't, because it would reduce banker's profits.

If they really want to attack a real target in the matrix, they would need to go after Fedwire. I don't feel bad about mentioning it because the chance of success is 0.

Hmmm. Why would they announce this when all that does is give NYSE time to protect their systems....UNLESS

Not just a false flag but a deliberate attempt to draw attention away from the demonstrations against the Federal Reserve System, which is goldman sachs jp morgans cookie jar.
remember that William Daley, former JP morgan exec from Chicago, is Obamas chief of staff, who works out of the oval office. Obama is upstairs watching ESPN. and JP Morgan just gave the NYPD 4.6 mill to make good vids of protestor arrests... they rounded up hundreds on the brooklyn bridge like cattle.

That's just it...this seems nothing like Anonymous. They just announced Operation Occupy the Planet..even they know at this point this would be a terrible idea and biting off much more than they can chew. Sounds like the secret government is attempting to use reverse psychology to me ...get as many of you involved in this group making you think you are doing something peacefully and for the good then pulling the illusionist trick by crashing the system which they had planned long ago and blaming it all on you the normal hard working folks. Wouldn't surprise me is Obama's internet takeover and marshall law and maybe even him using his executive order to stay as President in time of crisis.....who knows.

The problem with anonymous is the lack of cohesive identity making excessive room for provocateurs and false flag events. Otherwise, it sounds like a wonderful event. Anonymous isn't a static power, but evolving, and in the process, the power we see them in possession of on one month may be considerably less than the power they exercise the next. In the past, Anon had difficulty taking out groups they would have little trouble demolishing today. The thing that saves those smaller institutions is the fact that Anon is distracted by much larger targets. Anon has approached closer and closer to the reality of the political-economic-aristocratic run military industrial complex and it is only a matter of time before they successfully muster sufficient forces to assail a viable target.

When a tyrant is closing his fist slowly, the people have plenty of time to escape, but the speed may seem so slow as to not be moving at all, and thus sensing no danger, the people will slowly be crushed. If something were to accelerate that closing grip - just enough so the people could sense the impending doom approaching, then the people might react appropriately for once, and flee or retaliate. Even the most somber kings and generals are prone to sudden and violent movements when irritated by the bite of a mosquito.

I think it is rather "far reaching" to assume that the NYSE would be dumb enough to allow an unsecured connection to the government controlled, "hardened" and dark (encrypted) lines they use for intercontinental interchange..

The main servers are never online, they exist in the central vault and are "stand alone" currier controlled when updates needed, and very secure..

If the NYSE was shown to be "hacked" then it was an inside job, as it is not physically possible to do this externally by any hardware means..

Anonymous is another form of an invented "Al-Qaeda", they could affect nothing more then the general unencrypted network, that is used by the general population, without inside help, they could not access secured networks, no matter how hard they try..

Anonymous means you're unknown. No one knows who did it, no one knows who said it, no one knows who wrote it, etc.

All these Anon videos could (and probably are) be made in someone's bedroom while the next video was made by someone else who doesn't even know the other video existed, but got inspired by some other Anon video back in the day.

It's really not hard to make these videos. Maybe I'll make one today about protesting and let everyone flip their sh*t and go ZOMGIES THEY'RE GONNA SHUT DOWN NYSE.

Sure, this very well could be a false flag in the making. But to suggest that the real Anonymous are "terrorists" or "enemies of America" is a cop-out.

You know those sci-fi movies from the eighties that take place in a dystopian future? There's always that one voice, that one entity that represents the little guy. That's how I see Anonymous.

They just did something that not one of us has had the balls to do yet. They've just declared war on the elite. And should they go through with this plan to take down the NYSE, I'm sure TPTB will react with more regulations, more threats, and more arrests. But that doesn't mean we should bend over at their will!
