Italian Worshiper Tears Both Eyes Out at Mass

An Italian man tore both of his eyes out in the middle of the priest's homily at a church near Pisa, according to reports.

Fellow parishioners watched in horror as Aldo Bianchini, 46, used his bare hands to pull out both eyeballs. Bianchini later told surgeons, who were unable to save his vision, he heard voices that told him to do it.

That's something you don't SEE everyday! Honestly... this is probably one of the most true Breaking Alternative News segments I've seen in a long time.

So the guy said he heard voices which compelled him to this. Can someone please explain to me what about hearing voices compels someone to rip out their own eyes?

Honestly, I can understand the frustration.. the annoyance.... perhaps even being driven to utter distraction.... but why something like this?

I would not be surprised if everyone that knew him claims that he was "not right." I'm sure he had some sort of psychological problems, schizophrenia coming to mind. That is the only scientific explanation that holds any water imo.
