Now you're starting to wonder off-topic.

Typical.

Not off topic at all. You mentioned intemperance (sort of) and violation of chastity. If I am doing these things I have bigger problems that worrying about getting 'turned in' at my lodge.

I did read the article and that's not what it says.

Once a child has been diagnosed with a malignant tumor, the bone tumor team maps out a treatment regimen. The multidisciplinary team consists of an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in tumor and limb salvage surgery, a pediatric medical oncologist, team coordinator, physical therapist, occupational therapist, general surgeon, radiation oncologist, nutritionist, prosthetist, pediatric radiologist, child life specialist, social worker, and inpatient and outpatient nurses familiar with the treatment of sarcomas.

Since the Shriners do not list pediatric oncology as one of the treatments they offer, and Doernbecher does, I think you need to reread that and figure out where you arrived at the conclusion that Shriners treat cancer itself. In this instance they teamed with the local pediatric cancer hospital to offer prosthetics and rehabilitation.

From the same article:

For more information on Shriners’ network of 22 hospitals that provide free treatment to children with orthopaedic problems, burns and spinal cord injuries, write to: Shriners International Headquarters, Public Relations Dept., 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa FL 33607, or visit the Web site at www.shrinershq.org.

See anything about cancer treatment there?

Not to mention, the article is written in the King's English which is not always spoken in Oregon.

Yeah, cause that means something. *twirls finger next to temple*

It's not a contradiction. The Craft charges (requests of) us to be good citizens, but they cannot enforce that outside the Lodge. If I decide to go hold up a liquor store I'm going to do it because I can...I'll get expelled from the fraternity, but the fact remains once I step outside that Lodge they do not dictate my thoughts, words, or actions.

Freemasonry has laws against temperance? Wow, that is surprising to me as in the 1st degree (according to Idaho work) we are taught to be temperant (moderate), never giving into excesses or extremes.

Well, if we're not allowed to sleep with Mason's daughters there are a whole lot of Masons out there violating that. My last girlfriend was a former Jobie and her father had no problem with me dating his daughter. Nor did her uncles who were also Masons and Past Masters of my Lodge. You are misconstruing what you don't understand.

This an ad-hominem attack. You've also mentioned that EVERY ex-Mason who criticizes the order usually "joined for the wrong reasons."

It's a valid point though. I didn't say ALWAYS, I said USUALLY, because there are various reasons why one jumps from the Craft. Many of the more zealous ones did join for the wrong reasons. I know many people who think they are going to attain some great status in the community by joining, and are soured by that because they just want the ring and name.

I'll say this next part really, really slowly. The Shriner's hospitals are for serious burns and pediatric orthopedics. They are not a cancer treatment center. That guys story is probably 100% horse #.

Well, when that "pattern" is a fraction of a percent I wouldn't start raising a fuss. Like I've said before, you don't chop down the entire orchard over a few bad apples. Hell, lets pull up the statistics of crimes committed by non-Masons vs Masons, let's see which group has the behavioral problems?

All Scottish Rite Masons must show their obedience to 32 and 33 degree Masons. All York Rite Masons must show their obedience to the highest-degree York Rite Masons. This is in their oaths.

Well, here's a catch for you. I'm a Scottish Rite Mason and a York Rite Mason, although I've held higher positions in the York Rite than the Scottish Rite. Scottish Rite for me is on the back burner for now.

That falls in the line of orthopedics. When I had a osteochondroma (sp?), a bone tumor/spur, removed from my right distal femur I didn't go see an oncologist, I went to an orthopedic surgeon. They didn't treat me with chemo, they cut into me. Big differences in those medical fields.

If someone sends their child to an orthopedic specialist when they should be going to a oncologist, they are a moron worthy of a Darwin Award.

But this isn't?

The Masons here are disgusting scumbags and have shown themselves to be complete sociopaths. They must be delusional if they think they're in a position to make anyone better!

no, that's the last ditch effort of an argument that has no basis in truth.
It's what cowards do behind big keyboards. Usually from the dark depths of mommies basement.
sad really.

From the dark depths of mommies basement comes another enlightening, or however you wish to look at it,...conspiracy...

Don't mean to go off subject just thought it was relevant to the whole "Freemasonic" BS.

I honestly don't see how it's at all relevant. No claims in the article that Masonry has anything to do with it, only that a Mason is making the claims.

…a disillusioned high ranking member of the Jewish Freemasonry in Budapest…
He must have won the coin toss against the other jewish freemason in Budapest to become "high ranking"…

The truth is the truth - it doesn't matter where you type it from or how much you want to pretend it's not real.

What's sad is that you think you're such a big shot by selling sugar water for a living .
