Trained a little in jujitsu. The two most popular styles are Japanese and Brazilian.

Brazilian Jujitsu focuses more on 1-on-1 fighting, while Japanese, or more traditional jujitsu includes more throws and multiple attack oriented fighting.

Brazilian: Strengths- Great for competition and single opponents, Weakness- Lacks on Multiple opponents.

Traditional: Strengths- Well rounded, Weakness: Someone trained in Brazilian Jujitsu might get ya in a tournament, or a one on one fight... if they get ya down.

This is just my experience with jujitsu and might not be 100% correct, so take it for what that's worth. Good luck with your training!

I studied Gracie Jujitsu for 6 years, and then I replaced that with hockey. You'd be amazed how easy it is to be a Goalie after you take a martial art like Jujitsu.
