This is the kind of crap that drives me nuts.

While I'm sure there are some people amongst the protestors who feel this way, I'm equally certain they are the minority of the group who are being used as a crutch to advance a narrow agenda of some special interest group and scare away potential support.

At this point, for all people with their hands in the pot, nobody knows what this movement will be or even if it will be anything. But I'm sick and tired of the media trying to kill everything in this country with this incessant left/right narrative.

As I watch my facebook friends, I see them parrot this story like gospel and so the division continues. Utter reflexive crap.

Yea: I read that article. I am looking elsewhere to see if the story stands the test of the internet. At this point it does not. I am sure there was some chanting, but I simply cannot believe the majority of these people want the current Potus' agenda. To be sure there are many younger people there who may not understand the main objective. However given time, not one single media outlet will be able to lie their way into a story on this. The truth always comes out and it will here as well.

Yes, Drudge and infowars are taking carefully-selected bits of info and trying to conflate it with the entire protest.

It's a cheap, transparent tactic of divide and concur, as if everyone who has problems with Wall Street is an Obama supporter.

Yeah.. With AJ, it's a matter of feeling like this is HIS revolution.. He has been driving the front line (in his mind and at least partially in reality) for a long time.. To see the tidal wave of discontent come up behind him is probably heartbreaking. Truth is, discontent happens. Once it becomes OK to express discontent EVERYONE is going to be doing it.. And everyone is going to attempt to lead it for ALL kinds of reasons. Michael Moore, Obama, Alex Jones.. all will be claiming THEIR version of discontent is the TRUE one.

I've got the same crap all over my FB page though. Obama lovers calling for socialism. Most of these "friends" are the rich people the poorest are looking to behead. They are driven by fear and guilt.. but hey they are also not happy with there lives and if they can jump on the bandwagon and blame someone for it they will ;') Not that they are all loaded.. just that their is a level of ignorance about who is actually rich and elite..

Lots of the poorest most destitute are not protesting yet because they are even feeling segregated from the protests! hahaha

While i share the protesters anger toward the banking establishment, most videos I have seen, many by the protesters themselves, advocate socialism and large government. They are fighting for big government as they rail against the police state policies that will most definitely come with big government.

They don't seem to get that the elite establishment needs and thrives off big government and big government is fed and controlled by elites - in all examples throughout history and inevitably in the future.

Most of these folks mean well, and I think it's great that they are letting the power elite know they are angry. But, getting down to it, the tea party people and these more lefty protesters are mad about most of the same things. They just have different rhetoric, and in some cases, different solutions.

When the markets come to full collapse and different global factions begin to vie for resources, that is when the full on global hot wars will begin, both external and internal.

As much of a valve and release this movement is for many people, in the end, what will bring the bankers down is their own incompetence and hubris. Until then, they will simply see the protesters as something to laugh at while they drink bubbly.

I do know on the first day some of the protesters were trying to run off the LaRouch group and were complaining and were trying to run off the Ron Paul supporters along with other conservative groups. They were saying that this is a left wing socialist protest. I have no idea how many they have run off and how many are still there. I also know that a friend of mine sent me what was being said in Egypt about the occupy wallstreet demonstrators. It was along the lines that this was a protest for democrats to stay in power and was supporting their agenda. I got so angry when I read what they had sent to Egypt. I kept telling my friend it was all lies. Of course what can you expect out of the same group who issued all the lies in regards to what is going on in Libya and other things around the world.

There are a list of demands that they've come out with- after vote- and NONE of them are anything about socialism or anything like that. My republican friend was reading the list earlier and agreed with every single one of them- except the one about taxing the rich fairly.

Republicans don't want the rich taxed, only those that have been poverty level and exempt from federal taxes. Those folks they want to tax.

I'm a Ron Paul supporter and as a left libertarian- I feel pretty independent right now from US politics. Don't like Obama at all. Like Perry even less. I personally do NOT see anything partisan in the demands from the 'general assembly.'

If liberals are showing up in bigger numbers, that's no one's fault but the republicans that are scared to go join in.

I would love to but I couldn't get it to work. The occupy wallstreet live stream on the first day was showing them complaining about other groups showing up and they were saying they needed to leave. Look up videos on the forst day and they might still be there. As far as my friend that was sent to me by private messages yahoo. What we are talking about is certain people are there and are attempting to spin a story that this is for the support of Obama and his jobs bill and his tax increase. This is far from the truth but MSM is bought and paid for and you will see a change from these protesters are a bunch of hippy kids who need to get a job. To this is a movement to keep Obama in power. The spin doctors are busy at work and are trying to hi-jack the movement. Everyone needs to stay focused and remember this is about End the Fed and the things the banksters have been doing.

No suprise here.

Michael Moore, Roseanne Barr.

When the idiot left got involved, you knew who was leading it and what it was about.

The N.C. gov is even calling to postpone the elections!

Anyone familiare with the phrase . . . Divide and conquer.

'nuff said.

The #1 think they want is for corporate personhood to be ended and/or redefined.

What I think we are seeing is an attempt to paint the movement as a democratic party sanctioned one - that would turn the 99% right there into the 49% or less.

Divide and Conquer.
IMO, the TEA PARTY is mad about the same things when they started - they need to get out there and JOIN IN with their democratic brothers and sisters and everyone needs to FOCUS on the abuses of the finanicial system on every day Americans.

But the divide and conquer thing worked with the tea party, so they are trying it again. I am sad that Alex Jones has decided to become part of that.

The story is not over yet, but he's decided to write it. Just like Fox showing only the republican signs for the first tea party rallies wrote that movement's script. Drudge has picked it up. Sad.
