I was checking the NASA SOHO gallery and saw this.

I'm not sure what this could mean.

Comets hit the sun all the time.

I heard this morning that one was supossed to hit the sun today. Someone even said that NASA turned off the monitoring system that they had so that we couldn't watch it happen but I don't know how true that is. Regardless, thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed watching the video of it.

That happens a lot. At least once every few months I would say.

I get videos of them from the 3D Sun, Iphone app.

They’re kind of cool to watch.

That's why I said I'm not sure what this could mean. I just thought I'd share the video because it looks pretty cool. I know comets hit the sun, I've just never seen it on a video before.
