If you feel violence needs to occur in order to bring about a change, yet despise the protesters what kind of change are you hoping for?

The point i was trying to make is that the PoPo is outnumbered.

Sure it was F'ed up when they started ganking random people.

But can you see the power in the numbers they have in NYC?

true dat true dat

millions upon millions and thats not even counting millions of illegals.

no wonder DHS installed new technology where NYPD CAN USE COMMUTER AIRPLANES AS BOMB/ MISSILES!

Well I certainly don't claim to have all the answers. I think this movement has already started to change things for the better. People are 'waking up' as everyone on ATS would likely say. IF you throw violence into the mix the protesters are going to get creamed.

I'm sleepy now but will try to continue the conversation tomorrow as long as it won't derail the thread.

That video does not say anything about using planes as bombs or missiles, it states that they (The NYPD) can take out a small plane if they needed to.

If the saying, "there cannot be paradise without sacrafice" is indeed true,we should all be a little nervous because this country is a LONG ways from paradise

Unfortunately, as you know, they have the FEMA compounds apparently all set up for this type of action. Its brutal actions reinforced by their orders that make it in the eyes of the police, the right thing to do. They presumably will not see the people who are protesting as people who are in the right. What do you expect?
I think the people protesting believe in what they are doing yet the law while come down on them unless it is an overwhelming solidarity among the people. Later on- maybe in a month or two when this blows over and people become sheeple again- perhaps through a false flag or some other diversion, the police will say that they feel bad that they had to do this yada, yada, yada.

They actually sue their employer because they got 29 minutes for lunch...and not a full 30....like the law says. They use ANY excuse to make a quick buck.

i see no problem with doing that, it is just business afterall and nothing different to what a corperation would do, put profit ahead of humanity or what is right.

I don't think Americans, or any 'western countries' are willing to truly sacrifice for paradise.

Look at the middle east revolutions, the majority were started by self immolation.

Well at least you almost provided enough text in your thread.

Any way we Americans have a tendency to let things stu for far to long. Then when we do get together to try and do something ? Try to effect a change, if you will ? Most of the time everyone is ready to snap by the time it comes to this. Of course, that's what they want to us do, isn't it ?

The reason the jobs are going overseas is because the FED devalues the dollar, the government legislates ridiculous regulation, and taxes are unfair due to a corrupt system and waste of the corrupt system. TPTB stack the deck to favor some...and own them....WallStreet is not the enemy

I'm all for these protests and despite my rampant drunken trolling spree a few nights ago am concerned for the safety of the protesters. I am a little worried that things are going to end up worse than the riots we saw in the UK.

I think it is very important for the protesters to keep themselves from turning violent, and to actually listen to the police when told to move etc. I also think it will be very important for the police to treat the protesters with the respect they deserve as American citizens.

When it turns violent, you can be sur it was started by the police. Watch this video, it is a bit long, but you can start watching at 5 minutes when the police starts using teargas on a very peaceful crowd.

I think it is possible, if this thing continues to stay peaceful, more people will begin to support them. Let public opinion speak and be the power behind the movement. To do that it can't be some wild leftist socialist thing. Only 30% or less of the country even believes that is the correct way to fix things. If the demands reflect the majority of Americans and NOT just the pissed off liberal youth....anything is possible

If the protest remains peaceful and continues to grow the *authorities* will have to decide if they want to REALLY piss off the WHOLE country, or they will have to back down.

At the end of the day there are way more of us than there are of them, call their bluff but be SMART

Today many people were arrested for blocking traffic..SOME took the walk ways as instructed and were not arrested....people need to stay level headed and be reasonable and rational. Such a statement will make the movement spread. Right now at best the demands are vague and whispy. This group could be hijacked very easily for sure. People need to be REAL, not pissed.

If the authorities truly get out of line Americans will rally to their fellow citizens in massive numbers.

If the protestors become a lawless mob, The People will not...instead they will begin to defend themselves, against the protestors and the lawless....for the lawless will completely exploit the situation.
