I hate ATS lately, anyone else?

I kinda do but then I don't.

It's like, before i used to care about spending hours poring over everything of interest, now lately I just feel like.......what's the point?

It's like a lot of what's discussed here in the conspiratorial field is a completely distorted version of the truth as told by people who don't want to see that truth and wish to make something else of it. Like how Christianity turned Jesus into a deity but Islam and Judaism (his own religion of birth if he ever existed) sees him as just a man and not that important.

I took about a year break from ATS because it was starting to really piss me off.

Recently came back to mainly just read, but the love is definitely gone---or at the least it waned greatly.

Some of the top members are not able to post right now so thread quality has gone down a lot I think.
It's our loss not having them actively participating.

Yep, the quality of threads has gone down big style, Ive only been a member a year and half but ive seen a difference. Sometimes i like to look at the ats archives and the standard of threads was so much better back in the day (cliche sorry).

Is it because every third thread tells you that you are going to die/ shtf? Or is it the general atmosphere of 'panic!' that seems to be spreading? I agree, feels more like some general chatroom than a place to make civilized chatter with like-minded people. But it makes for good entertainment, I'll give it that.

I would never have posted this before, but this happened on ATS very recently.
I did a Google search for a very specific item, a TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER that you mount in a truck to control the trailer brakes on a trailer. I was not on ATS, I did this because I needed one.
The very next time I got on ATS, the exact item from the company that I bookmarked shows up as an advertiser on ATS advertising what?
TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLERS.
They sell thousands of items.

When I first sighed on to ATS I found out very quickly that this site is not about freedom. Any huge mega site like ATS is going to be heavenly watched by the government if not secretly "owned" by the government or some one with special interest.

Ya, does it all have to be doom and gloom? How ABOUT CELEBRATING LIFE?

I visit ATS and sometimes I laugh, I cry, I get angry and sometimes I roll on the floor laughing hysterically. Just like life. So, no, I don't hate ATS. But, yeah, sometimes quality seems to give way to quantity.
