in a case of blantent media censorship new zealand media refuse to show images or to even mention the fact that a pieceful protest against wall street is occouring.
i have tryed to email and write letters and phone the various media outlets to ask the simple question is this not global news
well the answer is no this is not important enough for a 30 second segment

so what does this mean?
it looks like america can support egypt but not americans

but guess what most if not all people in my country that use internet news knows all about it.
this one situation is being used here to expose the media for the finacial shills they are.

this is perfect to show others that the media cannot be trusted with the protection of democracy
and so far 10 people have stated "if it was news, it would be on the news"

well i have now shown them that this is news and their MSM is not covering it.
this has been the perfect way to show "sheeple" how the news media is "OWNED" by the big money who wish us to be oblivious.

world wide the world is watching via the internet and asking why is this different from egypt?
does america only beleive in democracy for the people outside america?

this has opened even the eyes of some of the older generations that would never question the state line.

if so many around me are now asking why is this not news?
that they are now watching history from the internet "live" because the tv news only shows the MJ trial

this one mistake (no news) is awakening the world
why is this not news?

makes bigger question spring to mind
"why are the banks favoured"
why do the CEOs get socialism while the rest get poverty?

people who would never listen to me now are asking for links and material to show their friends.

this is going through the sheeple i know right now
and if the most staunch sleepers can awaken with this issuie
or the simple question
why cant we know about this?

makes people think "what else arnt we seeing" on the msm

america the world is finally impressed and they are waking up to the fact that
americans can stop wall street from looting our countries as well as yours

what happens to amer4ica will happen to us all

The same situation in Latvia. All corporate media are absolutely silent...
Shame!!!

The 'net is the great equalizer. We have seen it time and again from many countries. The messages will get out, corporate media and/or government censorship cannot prevent it...

The local news here in central Florida has apparently adopted the same policy. Corporate control of the MSM news outlets are purposely controlling the flow of information. They do not want the sheeple to wake up and realize that they are truly wolves brainwashed to believe they are powerless sheep.

Eh, I think it's more because this is being incredibly over-hyped online almost as much as it is being under-reported in the media. Mainly, I think the net is giving a hugely exaggerated account of the 'revolution' on wall street.

This is almost a case of hoaxing it is being so distorted. I have friends blocks from there that haven't notice much more hustle and bustle from the big apple than on any other saturday in that city,

It doesn't help that John Key is a part of the "club".

Which reminds me. A week ago I needed some plastic containers for the freezer and I found some nice ones at the mall. They were made in New Zealand but costs more about $2.50. So I bought Made in China ones that cost less than a dollar instead.
Screw them socialist fecal holes!

It's probably because they are all too busy focussing on Dan Carter's groin injury....

Well i read your post and phoned up stuff. They basically said there wasn't interest in the story. I then informed them of the blocking of the Brooklyn bridge and they jumped straight to it. It's now front page news. No need to thank me

Thanks for your post; Compare what you were told with the fact the president of the US goes for a brief paddle in the Gulf of Mexico and its in the TV news in Australia and; my guess is, that it was in the news on TV in most other counteres also.

Would this be same story if the rally in wall street was in support of wall street?

While these two issues are completely different it is a very strong indicator that what is in the YV news is not what is in the public interest but is in fact is what is in the iterest's of those who own and control the media and the government, ie wall street it self is making decisions about what is and what is not in the public interest.

AS said, a lot of folks are finding out and are getting angry. I was in a cafe and this older man was leaving, well older than me and we greeted each other. I had done work for him many years ago. When I asked how he was doing, I was floored when he let go about wall street and our corrupt government which is only for the corporate few and the rich, he was extremely angry. He is too old to march, but this shows along with a lot of others whom are expressing themselves that it is time to wake up. His parting shot was, we need to tear down all we have and start all over, in other words reboot the system and jail all politicians and the money people, good for him.

The Kiwis are too much in to their footy right now to even take notice. Take note, the Rugby World Cup is on and that's our prime focus right now.

we just had the first indepth look at the occupy wall street in msm news (first i have seen)
and while the brooklyn bridge episode was shown no arrests of pieceful protesters were shown,
and the reporter blatantly tried to talk down the numbers of protestors,
and tried further to paint protestors as diversive and "vegans and malcontents"
lol

to his credit the reporter mentioned the police being too heavey handed.

so at least now we get to see the images and it is now news

the protestors are being painted as teenagers in our media,
when unioins get involved they will have no excuse to call the protestors the displaced youth.
these labels are to sway public opinon, which allows people to shut off to the message

at least in new zealand people can see what is happening......although the reporting was dismissive.

pieceful lawful prostests work

At the moment New Zealand is hosting the Rugby World Cup.

Sorry to all those people who think a demonstration a few thousand miles away in the States is of the remotest interest to New Zealanders during this time of sport and news closer to home. The Wall Street protest was briefly mentioned on the BBC in the UK. How dull. I’m more interested in demonstrations in the UK which have relevance to the UK. Perhaps the New Zealand press is taking this attitude, plus the Rugby World cup.

The Rugby World cup is more newsworthy and relevant.
