Sounds possible... but why would they take a huge step like that? after they've been trying to discretely impose other ways to stop the unrest without it? (because lets face it, ML is a serious call) Sounds like wasted efforts. But then again this has been escalating like crazy.

I've also read, they are possibly only repositioning these troops.. to places like Afganistan.

No person who has ever served honorably in the armed forces would use their service as a shoehorn to insert themselves into the spotlight. The "Marine" is a scumbag at a minimum.

I've been places and done things and I'd never (nor would anyone I know) use that as some sort of "street cred" to draw attention.

Despicable. Just like the idiot that used his face as a catcher's mitt for a can of tear gas in Oakland: He was thrown out of the Marines and is the proud owner of ihatethemarines.com. First class loser. Not representative of our armed forces. Not even a little.
