Hispanic students vanish from Alabama schools due to new ruling on cracking down on illegals

Of course the headline of the article on MSNBC is ``hispanic students``... it's not about ``hispanic students`` it's about ILLEGALS. I bet a lot of other nationalities people in Alabama that are illegals have left the public schools too.

According to a Pew Hispanic Center report, in 2005, 56% of illegal immigrants were from Mexico; 22% were from other Latin American countries, primarily from Central America;[5] 13% were from Asia; 6% were from Europe and Canada; and 3% were from Africa and the rest of the world.

But of course MSNBC is trying to portray this only as a ``race`` issue, which it isn't. It's about ILLEGALS, from whichever country they are from. If the country south of America was a ``white people`` country, the MSM wouldn't be able to pin this on ``race``...

Hispanic students have started vanishing from Alabama public schools in the wake of a court ruling that upheld the state's tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.

Education officials say scores of immigrant families have withdrawn their children from classes or kept them home this week, afraid that sending the kids to school would draw attention from authorities.

There are no precise statewide numbers. But several districts with large immigrant enrollments — from small towns to large urban districts — reported a sudden exodus of children of Hispanic parents, some of whom told officials they planned to leave the state to avoid trouble with the law, which requires schools to check students' immigration status.

Illegals really don't have anything to fear, apparently, the state doesn't intend to apply the law :

"In the case of this law, our students do not have anything to fear," Casey Wardynski said in halting Spanish. He urged families to send students to class and explained that the state is only trying to compile statistics.

Police, he insisted, were not getting involved in schools.

A lot of them will probably move to California, because whatever the government says, a lot of illegals will not believe them (and with good reason).

A school worker in Albertville — a community with a large poultry industry that employs many Hispanic workers — said Friday that many families might leave town over the weekend for other states. About 22 percent of the community's 4,200 students are Hispanic.

This is sad. The parents who broke the law by entering the country illegally are screwing their kids.

My racist little brother and I are both legal immigrants, and we laugh until we cry every time we see those buses roll through Walmart or Home Depot. They've been doing it every 6-8 mo. around here for a couple of years, and the numbers are always thinning, but it's never any less funny. There's always a couple that try to run, which is even funnier when they realize that there's a handful of squad cars outside as well.

It's nothing personal, but if we had to wait in line, so do you.

Sounds like the law is working and doing what it should. Need it to spread to every state. No reason to have 7 million illegals with jobs when there are 14 million US citizens out of work. Also need to stop or slow down the 2 million Green Cards per year.

I think that this is a terrible situation to have happen. People that come here illegally just want a chace at a better life. Yes some that come are criminals but for the most part their just seeking refuge from terrible living conditions. Forget that your americans for a minute and think like human beings for a change. I garantee that if you had to live in some of the places these people come from you would be grabbing your families and high-tailing it straight to the USA. The reason our countries so messed up right now is not from illegal immigrants stealing jobs. The reason is beacuase we have corrupt governments who continue to allow the degradation of our societys in order to gain and maintain controll of the masses. Someday we will live in a world that knows no borders and where people can just get along amd treat each other like human beings. The question is, how long is it going to take?

Guess what, people. He's not alone in thinking that way. I used to know a fella that ran the best mexican restaurant in Richmond, KY. So I was sitting at the bar one night enjoying a beer and a soccer game and suddenly there's this big ruckus in the kitchen. The guy that runs the place threw some guy out of the door and into the parking lot on his face. The barmaid later finds out that the one of his cooks was illegal. I've heard that sentiment quite a bit.

Tough. Sucks about the kids but they knew it was coming. They just assumed that the gravy train had no end.

a better life? any criminal under the sun could apply that to just about any law he decides to break.

and if you undermine one part of the system you undermine the whole thing.

and im not about to dump the entire system for some people who arent even a part of it.

I am curious to know can anyone just start a life in the US as an illegal and get jobs and all the benefits if there are any . I see so many complaing about illegals getting benefits there and no one will touch them . Is it like a race thing ? If i as a white person from a 1st world country . Could I set up as an illegal and survive.

I know the Irish did just that in NY coming and going at leisure . Working in all the trades . My niece did it with her Irish boyfriend before 9/11 . And then it became harder to come and go undetected after that .
So do you basically have to be from Mexico.
I have a theroy as to how this illegal immigration from mexico into the US for higher wages that they send back home , is affecting the Mexicans .

Its driving up their cost of living back home because of all the US dollars flooding into the country . So businesses figure they may as well charge full US prices for goods and services since the money is flooding in from the US , so why should they miss out on the better profits and lifestyle as you get in the US .

You know that it costs way more to drive out of Mexico city and their toll roads than it would cost in the US and the traffic is terrible . Do you know that Mexicans have to pay the same price for petrol as the US . Do you know they pay more to catch a bus from one area to another , like a Greyhound bus . They pay more than the US transport system costs .
And they are paid half as much in wages in Mexico , than in the US . So go figure !

I think the Mexicans are paying dearly for their little incursion into the US .

there is a myriad of tax benefits when a large company hires a non-white illegal. where I live the local casinos banked on the illegal mexican work force for a few years, then enough stood up for a better living wage and joined the unions, next day busses full of cambodians arrived to take their spots.

true these people want a better life, but there is alot of americans that need jobs to, this is why so many are upset. and if we say anything about it, we get labeled as racist.

the Mexicans in the US have been sending back over 20 Billion dollars per year for a long time

add it all up and decide how that affects the US economy !!!!

all that money does not return to the local citizens and businesses in the US.

and the banks love it .... all those transfer fees and exchange rate bid/ask profits.

don't you understand the meaning of the word "Illegal" ......, once they are here they are criminals and should be treate4d like criminals until they are sent back to their country of origin

Spoken as someone who doesn't live near them.
They leave terrible living condtions granted once they move into your neighborhood they make it as close to what they left as possible. They move into a good neighborhood and turn it into a slum. Take a drive down Watts, south gate or Santa Ana.
Then look up archival photos of the same neighborhood from before the wave moved in.
