Mystery as rare whale found beached in a field in Yorkshire

Marine experts say they are baffled by the discovery of a rare breed of whale which was found dead 800 yards from the shoreline of the Humber Estuary.

Why has this , whale ? , been found well away from the water's edge ?
800 metres? It suggests to me , while the 'experts are baffled' , that the tide has been a long way in over the salt marshes, while deep and high enough to carry this poor creature to its current resting place .
The sea is unaccountable to man . Has it been up to tricks which no one has notiiced?

not much you can say until some facts appear.
id like to see what caused this if not a prankster with some very heavy moving equipment..
im sure we wouldnt be hearing about it if tides were an obvious answer for its location..800metres from the shore would suggest a king tide which is almost once a century in most places

For one thing it wasn't 'in a field' it was on the shores of a tidal estuary and there'd been a high tide. Once beached the whale rolled over onto its blowhole and suffocated. But I suppose that's too simple and clear an explanation for some.

Strange stuff OP, a whale isn't an easy thing to drag hundreds of yards either...

It's a bit like the old war time song....

maybe this could be a failed teliport experiment. no one saw it roll 800 meters. there are many secrets under the sea. secret bases, n tech etc. just somthing to think about.
