This comet is not little like I think in first place ..

Here you can see strong and fast CME on back side of Sun, opposite from impact caused by the impact of this comet ..

Who knows maybe now some members see this connection ..

I had already spoken about this in 11May 2011(see the story at space weather 12may) and 5 July 2011 (notice in the 5 of July impact it is missing 6 hours of vídeo after impact. )

That video makes it clear that the CME occurred long before the comet reached the Sun.

Sure that's a comet and not a rocket? Dang. The impact explosion was omg wow...Awesome images.

Phage way you say that, I can put 100 videos but is pointless ..

Watch from STEREO A fool movie and you see two CME, that video is finishing in moment when start second impact CME and I know you know that .. lol

You have your eyes, I know you are not blind etc, so what is problem I don't understood you now ..

Yes first CME appear before impact but all can see very clearly when impact happened make that second CME ..

And comet effect Sun before impact to0, you can see from other videos of Sun passing comets ..


If you after all this say that, I only say your reaction is very strange ..

I respect you most here but now I don't know any more ..

The CME originated on the opposite side of the Sun from Earth. Also the opposite side of where the comet entered the corona.

From STEREO A, which is looking at the side of the Sun about 90º to the the right of what SOHO sees.

Here the beginning of the CME can be seen at the 1 o'clock position. Note that the white ring is where the surface of the Sun is. Did it really begin right after the "impact"?

Here the CME is more developed, again, on the opposite side of the Sun.


Sun diver comets do not survive long when they approach the Sun.
