“The Serbs were stoning the German soldiers, one of whom was hit, so the soldiers were forced to fire rubber bullets in self-defense,” he told AFP.

The serbs were self defending there own land, the reason Serbs were stoning the German soldiers is because the german soilders took down serbian flags.

Local Serbs, who spent the night at the barricades, told Beta news agency earlier on Tuesday that the troops had been brutal, that they had used tear gas and that they tied up young men who had been present.

I heard someone say the reason the serbs attacked is because the german soilders forcefully took down the serbian flags or a flag around the barricades and this visit by putin in serbia in October really could mean anything.

Any thoughts on this?

And as a German citizen can tell you that we all want our troops back out of that country. We're just there because some U.S. leaders force us to do this.

Whose bright idea was it to send the Germans of all nationalities in the KFOR to confront the Serbians? Serbians were among the most persecuted people by the Nazis, and many in Serbia remember the genocide committed against them. This whole encounter was just begging for a violent confrontation, and the Albanians are the ones fuelinging it to take attention away from their failed gangster regime.
