So, here I am a 26 year old adult, and I still have skin issues. I have had severe acne since I was 12 years old. I have taken or put on every prescription and over the counter drug there is. My hormones are not out of whack (had that tested). I have altered my diet, drank water until I could literally float, and nothing has calmed the acne down.

When I say I took everything there is to take, I mean it. Accutane included ( a double dose even). Over the years it had gotten better, then worse, then better again. Something will work for a while then stop working altogether. I swear acne becomes immune. I am in one of my bad phases again, and I am looking to try an all natural method or even something weird if I have to.

So... I want to see if anyone can give me any ideas of something new to try. What has worked for you? I will try anything at this point!

I had moderate acne when I was younger..

I personally noticed that when I had a nice tan I had less acne. I started getting plenty of sun and using a moisturizer daily, nothing else, and that helped me quite a bit.

I know acne can have different causes so I don't think there can be a cure-all, but as I said I found getting a good dose of Vitamin D and keeping my face moisturized kept all but the most persistent blemishes away.

I also tried OTC and prescription medicines, none worked. Good luck!

Can't really give you any tips, only that you should go and get a re-assemment from a doctor or skin specialist.

I would suggest looking into the oil cleansing method, friend.

The oil cleansing method, often abbreviated to OCM, is a system for cleaning a human face using oils. The basic method uses a mixture of 80% extra virgin olive oil and 20% castor oil. The mixture can be optimized based on skin type and personal preference. Oily skin can make use of a larger proportion of castor oil. Other oils that are commonly used are sunflower oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil.

In this beauty treatment, the oil is rubbed into skin for approximately two minutes. Next, a warm, damp wash cloth is draped over face until it cools. A cooled wash cloth is then used to wipe off the excess oil with continued rubbing. One or two drops of olive oil or another oil may be used to moisturize the skin after the cleansing oil has been removed from the face.

I've heard very good things about it although never gotten into actively pursuing it myself. It sound counterintuitive on the face, but when you read on it a bit it seems to make sense.

Good luck with this and whaever anyone else may be able to offer up.

I've battled with acne... The two biggest things that helped me were diet change and enemas... For the diet, cut out all the crap loaded with sugar and cut the carbs out as much as possible... As for the enema, ummm, it's best to do it when no one is home

I wouldn't recommend seeing a skin specialist, because they will load you up on pharma crap... I went to several and they all made it worse... Stick with natural methods, you won't regret it

I suffered a little as a teen and i agree with TinkerHaus... Getting out in the fresh air really helped me. Also diet is important... lots of fresh water, vegetables and also garlic. I think that stress can also be a factor, so try doing things that relax you... i play the guitar when i'm stressed

If you are doing all these and still suffer than you may have a slightly more serious condition that needs a skin specialist to look at.

Good luck and hope it all goes well for you

Peace

I fear you do not know what homeopathy is. If you do then I doubt I can change your mind but if you dont look around for what it actually is. A sick lie.

To answer your question place a clean dry towel over your pillow each night before going to sleep. This should work wonders. Hope for an update.

to stop acne you must go to the source, which is the bodies ability to naturally assimilate and excrete.

You have to change your diet, is what that means.
No fast food
No processed foods (canned food)
No red meat (actually avoid meat all together as the meat here is processed heavily)
No foods rich in saturated fat

And last but not least, limit carbohydrates, ESPECIALLY at night.

Exercise is a big plus.

You can also try something called Witch hazel, it is sold as a toner but provides many benefits for the skin. Do your own research on that, too lazy to keep writing.

Olive oil can give you some results... It defies logic to butter up your face, but it works... Just beware it can dry you out too (which also defies logic)

I've tried that diet, not the enema tho....I will think about that one. My back door is just that....a back door. LOL! I will look into that one as well. If I have to stick something in my butt to be beautiful again, then I guess I'll just have to suck it up.
hahahaha!

I had a former coworker that used the regimen on this website and got clear. You have to follow it Religiously but it works and you can do it without any fancy expensive creams, just basic stuff you can find in the drug store. Also, stop wearing makeup (if you do) until you are clear

www.acne.org

Is your skin really oily? That can cause a lot of clogged pores and such and exacerbate the problem. If this is a problem for you I have a remedy for that, just let me know.

I know a lot of people do not like the homeopathic route, but when all else fails, it's something to look into at least. I'll try the towel on the pillow tho. Thanks!

(Sorry for so many posts)

Tinkerhaus brings up a good point... I has some success with vitamin d3 2000iu. If you can get a good 20min dose of sun daily, I would opt for that...

This is what works for my occasional acne. I am 100% believer on sulfur. Theres this mask called DDF Sulfur Mask and you wear it 3-4 times a weeks. Leave it on for about an hour. Then wash your face daily with this face wash called ZapZyt. Its very gentle and wont irritate your skin.

Also a really important thing is to cut out dairy products entirely. It usually the hormones and additives that causes your hormones to get imbalanced. Try that for about a month. If you drink milk, switch to soy milk and cut every thing dairy out of your diet.

Good luck! Definitely try the sulfur though.
