The number of coalition deaths is now over 1,100.
US troops account for the bulk of that number with 970.
The number of deaths this month has been higher than most previous months, most likely because of the assault on Najaf.
So far this month, there have been 67 coalition deaths in 26 days an average of 2.58 per day.
Last month, there were 58 coalition deaths in 31 days, an average of 1.87 per day.
In June, the last month before the hand over of power, there were 50 coalition deaths in 30 days. 1.67 per day.

Hopefully now that the situation in Najaf seems to be calming down, the number of deaths on both sides will decrease.
