One thing you may be overlooking is the fact that post-war Germany didn't spend their resouces building up their military and invading other countries. It was invested in infrastructure.

Who knows, maybe Obama's plan could work if we stopped invading other countries and reduced our military spending. Under those conditions, anybody's plan could work. But we know that neither Obama or any of the "leading" Republican candidates will stand up to the military industrial complex. We are on a straight line railroad to a police state designed to optimize the efficiency of a military bent on world conquest. We're more like pre-war Germany than post-war.

Right, can you please explain what happened to the Stimulus? Ohh that is right, Obama gave it to the bankers, radical feminist's and corrupt unions.

And this "job's plan", where is the money being funneled? Into the feminist controlled educational system. Obama is a male hating bigot that will steer this in such a fashion that only white women and women of color benefit from this "Job's Plan".

Obama lied about the stimulus, then lied about shovel ready job's (he went to say there is no such thing) and now Obama is trying to trick everyone all over again. No TY. Let the unions and the public educational system rot into oblivion. I have no use for sexist bigots and that is all they are.

Didn't miss it at all. Part of what needs to happen in the USA is a defunding of the massive defense budget. USA spends more as a percentage of GDP than the next top five nations combined on military power and empire building, and then have the gall to tell countries like China that they are spending too much and to cut back? What hypocrites.

If USA put the money they're spending on military into retraining, and retooling, they would be in a much better place economically and in a better place with their standing with the rest of the world.

Of course, the lobbyists for the military weapons manufacturers (America's last great manufacturing base) will heavily disagree.

It's a sad day when the only real manufacturing that your country produces are tools for warfare, but at the same time your Government claims you are a "peaceful nation".

True

There are lots of similarities between pre-war Germany and the USA today.
Scary similarities...

@babybunnies
Thats also something I dont understand... why are (especially right-wing) US-Americans so eager to shred their fellow peoples QoL to pieces, just to obtain the "epire-esque" funding of the military industrial complex

This strikes me as pretty un-patriotic

Whats the one thing all previous Empires have in common?
