As for the guy with the pistol, I'm accurate out to 130 yards, he is maybe accurate at 20 but he's also a black gangster so the chances he just sprayfires like a baby playing call of duty is very likely. This guy has no one to blame but himself. If you don't want to be assaulted by gangsters and thugs, buy a damn good gun and learn how to use it with military precision. I guarantee if this guy was a marine, all of them would be dead and the marine would have himself a shiny new pistol

agreed, one of the same reasons I did what I did. One must do what one can!!!

not so fast slick. I stay up past midnight every night, she was asleep at 9:30, I would have been up for sure to meet this guy at the window. YOUR NOT GETTING THE PICTURE OBVIOUSLY. I guess I have to explain things in detail. If I had been there, this guy would not have had the chance to do half the # he did. YOU FOLLOW? OR DO I HAVE TO BUST OUT THE CRAYONS AND CONSTRUCTION PAPER................

Well, maybe you should draw a picture. I'm not sure how the situation works out in your mind.
In my mind I see a lot of chaos with a high probability of bloodshed. Yours? His? Your familys?

Funny how all the people theorizing on what MIGHT happen have obviously never been in that type of situation.
They assume burglars are pro's and home owners with guns are inept ignorant idiopts that cant use their weapon.
That's a fatal mistake many crooks make.

From experience, it USUALLY ends with a dead burglar.
How many reports have you heard of an ARMED victim getting shot?
I think you should look at facts.

Armed "victims" rarely get shot... usually it's the dumb crook who thought armed robbery was an easier way to get paiud than a job.
Thye already arent very smart...and are usually desparate and not thinking clearly.. that's why they end up in a body bag.

IMHO, it's better to have a gun for defense and not need it, than to need one and not have it.

I live outside of Philly and am aware of this story. Philly has always had violent crime, but it seems to be escalating as of late. Besides the recent flash mobs, there have been 13 Armed muggings since late August, whom Police believe the same 3 attackers are involved in several of the incidents.... 3 young Black males ranging from 15-18, around 5'6", same story different day.
If you walk on the streets of Philly w/o a CCW, or at least some form of ranged personal defense than you are putting your well being at risk. It's sad but true....

What about your accuracy at 5 yards? With his gun already pointed at you and your gun in the drawer next to you?
Do you drop and roll out of the bed, fumble with the damn stuck drawer all the while he points his gun at your wife?

Wow, many Clint Eastwoods here tonight.

Not stuck in my drawer!!!!!!! I own 4 of these little bad boys, and have them hidden in different parts of the house. (out of childrens sight and reach) www.nationwidesafes.com... and my accuracy with my guns are coffee cup diameter out to one hundred feet. I go to my range regularly. Most handgun owners in the states (legal ones, like myself at least) get some sort of backround in how to handle, carry, fire, and store, if you are not already military, or LEO trained. If you are going to take the time to make a 6 -9 hundred dollar investment for a descent handgun, which in my opinion is the cheapest life "insurance" (so to speak) you could ever afford. You are going to spend the time to learn things properly, and not just be a Clint Eastwood. Anyone with any real knowledge, and training under their belt will tell you the crap you see in movies is .......... crap!

Dear god...do you really think families live in poverty laden communities by choice?

The level of ignorance here is astounding.. no offense, it's not entirely your fault for thinking this way.
priviledged upper middle class have been trained to think like this for generations.

Question: So how would you fund this "Move" if you are already striken with such poverty that you and your children are living in "tha Hood"?
Sell your sumemr home to fund it?
Sub lease your time share?
get real and wake up.

did you read the OP?
an angry mob was LOUDLY beating down his door.
There was no stealth, or sneaking inside un noticed.

you are applying your vivid imagination in an attempt to fabricate a situation where your view will prevail. Had the victim excercised his right to be armed and defend his home, this would have ended much differently.

Here's the kicker:
People actually think that their neighbor is unarmed and scared.. that's why they think they can get away with thgis mentality.
It's stupid and will get you killed eventually.
Not everyone will lay down and accept violence being acted upon them.
Dunno about you.. but I wouldn't.

"crime, disease, drug addiction" < all "big $$$ business" in the usa and tptb will be sure to make sure, that those sicknesses of our society are never cured, those wrongs are never made right...all in the name of greed...

we are forced to indure a dominating, egotistical and completely unnecessary class seperation additude and controlling mind set that trains and brainwashes people to think that... "i am better than you"..."we are better than they"...do or die,we are made to compete against each other for no damn good reason at all, other than a way for tptb to steer us all clear of the truth...when in reality, after the veneer of $$$ and the sheilds of denial are removed,no one is better or worse than anyone else...

Are you being obtuse? Have you missed the class and racial hate being preached by the democratic party and by obama himself?

preached???...it's out in the open, plain as day. but this is about thuggery, not some political philosophy. if you cannot make the distinction, maybe it's you who is being obtuse.
as far as class warfare...the wealthy already won that one.

2008 John F. Street December 21, Democratic
2008 Michael Nutter January 7, Democratic

Ever since the last republican was voted out in 1952 it has been purely Democratic Mayors of

Philidelphia. Uninterupted and in a continuous string, even when forced to resign it is always

another Democrat who replaces them. And this has happened twice since 1952 where it had never

happened before.

Let's face it folks.
Philidelphia, the birth place of the constitution,
is a casualty of the cold war.

The KGB funded hippie movement got so many people
so angry at percieved corruption
that the Government was replaced
and socialism has ruled there ever since.

Now I guess we are out of other peoples money
and are blaming other people's skin instead.

What I don't understand is
how such blatant anti authoritarianism,
as exists in Philly,
can be winked at and offered the protection of a news blackout.

That's the only color I'm interested in.
The color of my coverage, and there are a lot of holes in this story.

This wasnt a political issue.
Stop contorting the facts.
It was a pissed off, distraught mother, who rallied a crowd of supporters to try to enact vigillante "justice" on the man who "wronged her son".
Her views wrong, and thuggish, and her actions were criminal.
this had zero to do with any political party.
anyone attempting to displace the blame from the mother and the crowd of thugs are ignorant or have an agenda.

shame on you. It's people like this who convolute problems to fit their agendas that put this country in this mess to begin with.
Thweblame lies on the motgher and the crowd.
This is not how we should settle conflcts in modern times.
It's archaic and stupid.

No it's not.
It's the fault of the republicans.
Since Republicans are the root of all evil, they trust Capitalism into the minds of Africans. Those Africans then turn around and cut down all the forests to sell the timber. This drives the zebra herds into a single area, where they eat a different type of grass that upsets their stomach. The Zebra farts, and emits methane.
Methane is classified as a cause for Global Warming by Al Gore and the EPA wants to outlaw it.
We all know that republicans want Al Gore banished to the North Pole and want the Govt completely torn down, bringing about a Mad Max world where Fuel is the great divide.
And all because a Zebra farted.
See, republicans are at fault.

I despise the GOP equally.
Just because the evidence I submitted

In the list of a continuous stream of corrupt Democratic Mayors,
two of which have been _forced_ to resign,
happens to fall on one party alone,
in no way intimates that I am
automatically in the other
house.

Liberals get everything that they vote for,
and cities burn.

I really don't see what there is to discuss.
The evidence is so overwhelming
it's breaking into our homes
unannounced.

I've played defence long enough.
How about telling all the readers why
defending anti authoritarianism, even cryptically,
is an unquestionable, and unassailiable thing to do?

Are you ... gasp ... for anti authoritarianism.

Actually.........Im handicapped, so thanks for being such an an arrogant jerk.

I have an old injury to my right arm that severed my sensor/motor nerve running into my hand.
You'll never guess how that happened, and I'll leave that bit out until you put your foot a bit farther into your mouth.

I have limited motion and my typing is impaired. combined with a small keyboard, these things happen.
I also do not put emphasis on spelling on an internet message board. Sorry if your english is limited and you can't understand the context of my post, but seriously, do you do this in real life? correct random peoples spelling mid conversation? Since you are playing Freud, what does that say about you?

I grew up in a world where that was an illusion of safety, and made you imagine cops were some gloriously rightous force that would never ever do wrong.

They are, in reality just people like you and me. Some good some bad.

BTW, Im over 40, and remember when most cops did the right thing too.
Today however, that is not the case.

Fun Fact:
Did you know that after the Rodney King incident, the court ordered LAPD to install cameras in their cars.

Today there are NO cameras in ANY LAPD cars. The dept fights this tooth and nail every year.
They would go broke from lawsuits, or lack of manpower if they had cameras and they know it.

You still blindly trust LEO with your life?

I'll gladly Call a cop if one is needed.. but I won't bet my lfe on him saving me, or even having my safety as a top priority on his mind.
Reality sux, but accepting it will keep you alive.

This is the real issue,
I commend your courage in openly showing the inner workings of an anti authoritarian mind.

So which came first?
Distrust of the police,
or untrustworthy police.

I submit to you that in all my worldly travels I have always found it was the former,
that bred the latter.

If we want to solve police issues,
we don't substitute a camera for partner.
People put into blind dangerous situations is
difficult enough with out having to go it solo all the time.
What happened to the mentor system, and the partners in one car.

Oh, that's right,
the (irony) politically neutral(/end irony) hollywood has convinced us to expect such police
when in fact none exist. Only the highly militarized new federal model.

But in this again,
the evidence points to Liberal national politics.
Fewer angrier enforcers costs less and results in the
unexpected windfall of fewer actual reports of crimes thus
making the technique look twice as effective. But it's just repressive.

But that's cops, and politics.

I'm addressing the first, and root cause of the proplem.
Open and unquestioned anti authoritarianism.
If a single liberal is found guilty of this
can we use the conspiracy laws
to indict the entire party of
Democrats?
