the internally supressed ak was made by Red Jacket on Sons of Guns, because no one had ever done it before, and they wanted to see if they could do it,and they did, made for a good show, but its complicated to make, needs frequent cleaning, needs special parts that may not holdup under heavy or long term usage.the AK uses super sonic rounds, and this internal silencer will only make it a little quieter than a conventional silencer screwed on the end of barrel, ,but for a lot of added expense, and a loss of some durability ,and limited full auto capability, there are plenty of conventional silencers to screw on the end of a ak ,and thats what most users will use, cheap and effective.using a silencer on a medium or high velocity rifle ,is simply to quieten weapon so that the enemy can't determine location of shooter, and to lower sound level, so hearing damage doesn't occur to shooter.SWAT teams use silenced weapons in house raids so they can hear commands, and listen for suspects moving, loading a weapon, or trying to surrender.for the untrained, yes full-auto is a waste of ammo, but their may come a situation that needs it,a few bad guys standing together, and the need to kill all at once.after SHTF everything will change, and you made need a wide capability and diversity of weapons and ammo.weapons will be easy to come by, ammo will not,STOCK UP NOW!!!

silenced grenade launcher is stuipity itself. The detonation of the grenade aint silent, so why bother with the gun, hmm? A decent silencer removes ALL muzzle flash, guys. I wrote Paladin Press's best selling book, how to make a silencer for a .22. It started selling in 1994 and has sold 1/2 million+ copies. The AK silencer can be fired with supersonic loads, you know. It then demonstrates a phenomenon called "sonic crack", which sounds like an unsuppressed .22 rifle, using normal "high speed" .22lr ammo. If you don't want sonic crack, you are limited to about 100m of effective range, and about 400 ft lbs of hitting power, which requires you to aim at the brain, if you don't want the "hittee" firing loud shots, screaming, etc, before he expires from several chest hits. If you let him make noise, why bother to have a silencer and subsonic loads, eh?
