www.msnbc.msn.com

Two American hikers held for more than two years in an Iranian prison came home Sunday, ending a diplomatic and personal ordeal with a sharp rebuke of the country that accused them of crossing the border from Iraq. They declared that they were detained because of their nationality, not their actions, Their saga began in July 2009 with what they called a wrong turn into the wrong country. The three say they were hiking together in Iraq's relatively peaceful Kurdish region along the Iran-Iraq border when Iranian guards detained them. They always maintained their innocence, saying they might hav

I wonder how long it will be before their books and movies come out? Prepared statements and no questions allowed expect TPTB to milk this for everything it's worth. Who wakes up one morning and says let's go to a country that we just attacked and go for a hike. Where these guys CIA? Who knows but we won't hear the end of it anytime soon.

They will for sure make money off their ordeal, no doubt about that. Hopefully, they will remember their experience and maybe do something to help other political prisoners. I think they will, they seem to be caring people from what I've seen. I remain hopeful...

alot of hikers are tree hugging hippies , who want some cool pictures to show there metro friends in the city ..

most of them are nothing more then tools with a sense of adventure .

Im sure they learned their lesson and its a good lesson for next punks who want to go on an adventure to hostile territory

im sure if they had any evidence against them they would've been skinned alive already . But they probably came to the conclusion of dumb american kids wrong place wrong time

When will the MSM ask them why they are so stupid to go anywhere near a hostile border. This is not the first time some used this dumb hiking excuse. Want to hike in the desert, plenty here in California/Arizona.

Im sure they were treated well. Iranians are not the monsters they are made to be trust me. Thier laws may be a little stricter but they do not abuse people on the norm.

Are you a woman or something? I can tell because you looking for an argument! Damn settle down I live in Denver if you must know. So why do you have such a hateful view of another human culture? Have you been there or just what you see on the news? You know I guarantee ANYBODY would radther be in an iranian prison than an american prison. There is no risk of being sodomized in iran they are above that believe it or not.

Those hikers are either the biggest idiots in the world...or spies.
Iran should have kept them. Why would we want them back?

Have you all seen their pictures? They sure look like spies to me.

Not sure where the three were captured but I do remember shortly after Saddam was toppled there was a commercial about vacationing in Kurdistan. I personally would not but some are more brave than I. The kind of people that jump out of a perfectly good airplane and such.Found a link.

This is what they looked like before they were arrested.

This is what they look like now.

They don't look like they have been starved or mistreated to me.
