the Republican party is fantastic for CEOs, multi-millionaires, billionaires, etc.
as for the common working man, they promise nothing, and have delivered nothing for the last
100 years.
i'm constantly amazed at how many working stiffs think the Republicans have any plans to do anything for them..

keep on dreaming

Sorry, but I am not any of those things listed above, and have ALWAYS done better financially when the Republican party is in power.

Maybe it has to do with not relying on the Govt for stuff.

Nah!!! Probably because I am a white guy. You know, because Reps all hate people of different colors.

You must have taken the blue pill OP. You think Republicans are
corrupt? I got news for you. So are the Democrats. They both dance
to the same puppet masters. I want to bang my head against the wall
every time I see a thread slamming Democrats OR Republicans. How
can you spend any time at all on this site and still believe there is
a difference between the two?

Are forefathers warned us about a 2 party system and now those warnings
are like chickens coming home to roost.

I agree with you on this. Both parties are to blame. Michelle Malkin wrote a book about this corruption. It's called "Culture of Corruption". An acquaintance of mine in the transportation industy told me once that someone was going to one of these "Eyes Wide Shut" type of parties in the area, and he said that his theory is that all these politicians are invited to these parties and probably filmed or set up in some way. Then when they want to pull away or not go along with the program of the NWO, the Elite have all this dirt on them. This is probably why no one ever hears about this dirty stuff till the Elite want to use it in some way, then mysteriously it just comes up as someone suddenly decides to be a whistleblower or it just leaks out in the news.
Take for instance the Sestak guy who was on the fence with the healthcare. They just pulled up some dirt on him and away we go.

I used to be staunchly Republican...

Till I got a piece of mail one day from the Republican party warning me how evil Bill Clinton was going to give those sick Gay people the right to serve openly in the military and adopt children!!! OMG he must be stopped!

Right then and there I abandoned them and never looked back.

However that being said Washington needs a total clean sweep of everyone in office.

Funny about those who call themselves liberal/ Democrat - I thought being liberal ment you were tolerant of others beliefs and thoughts, that you favored individual freedoms......guess there aren't many "liberals" here on ATS because they are often the ones who start the insults when someone doesn't agree with them.

The insulting amount of ignorance conveyed by the conservatives is equivalent to insulting
me with clear intent. I think unspoken intentional and covert manipulation is very insulting,
I guess the liberals have the gaul to refrain from double speech and innuendo.

No, it's just that conservatives are finally beginning to speak out. It's time for the silent majority to be heard. The push back has begun and you won't stop it.

Hi folks,

I didnt get very far into this but I dont see the point of delving into the typical right vs left hoopla so here it is...

politics = poly: more than one, tick: blood sucking parasite

that about sums it up

I'd be much more inclined to lend some credence to your hypothesis if it wasn't a blind assault on an entire group of people.

In my most humble opinion anyone who labels themselves with a political or racial label is narrow minded.

When will ATS' general populous understand that? Isn't the whole purpose of ATS and waking people up to heal rifts shift thinking and promote peace and awareness?

Both sides blue and red have been growing government. Both sides want your freedom and your dollars.

Don't allow yourself to be drawn into bashing an entire group indiscriminately, which on a side note both parties engage in without prejudice...

Rise above!

wanna talk friends lets take a look at yours who moved on from enslaving one ethnic group to everyone now

lets talk about the clueless leading the hopeless as per that party

and that aint the gop thats the blues where government knows best and we dont know jack.

You just keep rolling on with the ignorance train.

The states which instituted slavery, did so under the guise of states rights
and freedom from federal regulation, intervention, who does that sound like?
Today, you guys want to make it so corporations can enslave people did so under
the guise of states rights and freedom from federal regulation.

edit on 25-9-2011 by mastahunta because: (no reason given)

That would be interesting if there was a "federal" back then. It was all English colonies when the first slaves came.

Slavery in the United States was a form of slave labor which existed as a legal institution in North America for more than a century before the founding of the United States in 1776, and continued mostly in the South until the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1865.[1] The first English colony in North America, Virginia, acquired its first Africans in 1619, after a ship arrived, unsolicited, carrying a cargo of about 20 Africans.[2][3] Thus, a practice established in the Spanish colonies as early as the 1560s was expanded into English North America.[

en.wikipedia.org...

So where was the guise under "states rights"? Where was the "federal"? Did you think the US was born as a full fledged democracy the moment the Spanish set foot on the land? While we are on the subject of the Spaniards, Spain was concquered by the Moors starting from the year 711, thus the lily white skin and blonde hair with blue eyes went to brown eyes and brown hair.
www.cwo.com...
Later on the Pilgrims came and set up the first colonies in North America.

Not to be picky but if you want educate someone please attempt to educate yourself first.

The United States is not a democracy. Minorities have no protections in a democracy nor do individuals.

There is a great distinction between a Republic and a democracy...

Lies are cheap brother. We all relly on the government whether we want to or not and some more than others.

I have to pay property taxes, get a drivers license, pay registration fees, social security/disability/unemployment, state taxes, federal taxes, building permits, pay for wars I would never agree to, put up with TSA patdowns and/or naked body searches, gun permits, global warming scam tax and a load of money wasted on coporate bailouts.

Thing is most of the taxes come from the middle class cause the wealthy hire tax attorneys to find loopholes or they simply send their money offshore. The middle class has been getting abused for decades by the elite, so my question is if your not one of those elite, WHY would you vote for the elite party?

As a serviceman don't you relly on social security unconditionally? No need to answer if you think this is personal but most do. Thanks for the discussion!

Yup, a dumb ass, conservative democrat dinosaur, what about him?

Oh, so now the only Democrat KKK member has to be a "conservative". Lol where do you come up with this stuff?

You didn't hear the co-counsel for Roe v Wade talk about how so many people were expendable for the purpose of de-population.

A story on WorldNetDaily.com (May 13) was titled: "Roe Attorney: Use Abortion to 'Eliminate Poor' -- In Unearthed Letter Urged President-Elect Clinton to 'Reform' Country." Ron Weddington, who argued along with his wife, Sarah Weddington, in favor of Roe v. Wade in front of the Supreme Court, said in an unearthed letter to President-elect Bill Clinton: "I don't think you are going to go very far in reforming the country until we have a better educated, healthier, wealthier population.... Start immediately to eliminate the barely educated, unhealthy and poor segment of our country [through abortion].... There, I've said it. It's what we all know is true, but we only whisper it, because as liberals who believe in individual rights, we view any program which might treat the disadvantaged differently as discriminatory, mean-spirited and...well...so Republican."

www.newoxfordreview.org...

Let us not forget who sponsored the Negroe Project either....the Malthusian Progressives of the day.

A quote of Margaret Sanger

"The emergency problem of segregation and sterilization must be faced immediately. Every feeble-minded girl or woman of the hereditary type, especially of the moron class, should be segregated during the reproductive period. Otherwise, she is almost certain to bear imbecile children, who in turn are just as certain to breed other defectives. The male defectives are no less dangerous. Segregation carried out for one or two generations would give us only partial control of the problem. Moreover, when we realize that each feeble-minded person is a potential source of endless progeny of defect, we prefer the policy of immediate sterilization, of making sure that parenthood is absolutely prohibited to the feeble-minded".

www.moonbattery.com...

Sanger was born Margaret Higgins in 1879 in Corning, New York. Her parents, Michael Hennessy Higgins and Anne Purcell Higgins, were socialists and early activists in the women’s suffrage movement.

In 1912 Sanger and her family settled in New York City. She became a member of both the Women’s Committee and the Marxist Committee of the New York Socialist Party. “Our living-room,” she would write in her 1938 autobiography, “became a gathering place where liberals, anarchists, Socialists and I.W.W.’s [Industrial Workers of the World members] could meet.”

www.discoverthenetworks.org...

So, she was a progressive, and a Marxist Socialist as well.

The only thing you are going to push is the private agenda of business, you might also push
out some of the current dignities afforded to the working class. But in the end you guys are
not going to push back anything of consequence because you represent the powerful interests
that silently rule with their money. That's your albatross and without some sense realization
you have already lost.
