American Pride

Many people here on these boards talk about American arrogance in believing ours is the greatest nation in the world. Others say it is a measure of our programming by the U.S. government and thier media lapdogs. We call ourselves the land of the free and the detractors go wild with outrage at our presumption. But there is a reason we believe ths and it has nothing to do with prograaming, or arrogance. We are reminded on a daily basis that this beloved country of ours is something special, something which men and women have died defending, and whch many risk thier lives to gain.


This is the measure of what freedom means to some people and what they will do to achieve it.

How often do men and women risk ther lives to come to your country if thier lives are not already threatened where they are?

Again can i just mention the genocide on the native american population? I bet they feel REALLY FREE now! Yeah they are just freewheelin away into freedomship!

Next all these poeple emigrating there from the 3rd world.
Well the US and Europe created the 3rd world, by robbing local people of their wealth and resources. Its not surprising, therefore, that the locals then want to move to where all their money/resources has diappeared to.

The US of A is one big pyramid scheme built to sucker people into emigrating, nothing else so don't delude your self.

Not to rain on anyone's parade or anything but men and women of ALL COUNTRIES have died defending their lands at one time or another. Most are still doing it now too. The real winners are the same today as they were throughout history also. Those being the Rulers, Money Lenders, etc. The People just do the dirty work and either end up dead or alive at the end, but not much else really changes.

This country was also built on the savage genocide of a whole race of people and many various cultures, who actually inhabited this land first. Along with that is the fact that it was equally built by the hands of slaves, on the backs of the oppressed & abused, by the word of Religious Hypocritical Deceivers & Their Elite Political Bedfellows and infested throughout by dirty Politics, Money & Lies as well.

Now, among all that there were also some very Great Men/Women and Events to be proud of too. However, Pride is not something that gains any credibility the more you announce it to the world.

No one is denying that the U.S., like everyother nation on earth, has dark chapters in its history. Nor am I attempting to minimize the scope of those chapters. However what some seem not to understand is that America is a promise made by the people to the people. Like all promises it is not always fufilled nor is it always fufilled well. However the promse itself, the heart of America, remians. To ths day, this nation is seen as a shining ray of hope to many worldwide, and of this I am justifiably proud. Whether or not this nation and its peoples live up to that image is, as it always has been, up to us.

This promise is a LIE! It's just like the Casino pretending it's a fair game to lure the punters in to play but THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS.

This game is called CAPITALISM.

Now how about making the world (and the US) a better place so that people can just stay at home to enjoy freedom without having to emigrate to America? But this does not seem to be on the agenda does it now?

No...people need to learn how to help themselves...our foreign aid is in the billions...we help plenty already...

Your brilliant theory could be applied to English royalty all throughout world, how free did many people feel in the world when England wanted to march right on in and take over and tell people how they were "now" going to live.

Same could be applied to China, they had to do a major brainwashing, and annihilation to get where they are today. How free did those people feel?

What about Greece? What about Julius Cesear?

Sorry I must have missed myself flying the English flag there or the russian or chinese one for that matter.

Come on I just wanted to pop the American pride bubble not build my own "england is brillaint" one.

Next point, the aid.. in terms of GDP PROCENTAGE the US gives the least aid (ok given the biggest GDP this is stll a lot of money, but the biggest slcie of the pie goes to military spending so the moral argument goes "puff" in a cloud of ethics). Now... the aid you do give is only used as a bargaining tool (read bribery) to ensure tthe recieving countries are "pragmatic" (US foreign service spaek for "doing exacly as we say"). Again.. the US must REALLY GIVE A RATS @$$, I'm sure!

Corinthas is your own pride of self and country so weak that the only way you can feel self worth is to "pop others pride bubles"?

If your truly an anarchist then you should care about total freedom and total self responsibility why should you even give a poodle about giving handouts to other countries, which creates a dependancy, and makes it very hard for them to get off their own feet when it's time...

Taking away your gdp theory there are many charities and organizations that the "sheeple" you so speak of are helping third world countries...
I know that my mother helped two families in rwanda and then they either disappeared and took refuge elsewhere or they were murdered...

But guess what if they did take off, I guess they figured out that they could take that money and try and make a life for themself elsewhere, maybe other countries should take a hint. I have a good article of Africa i'm going to post and maybe you would have the decency to be objective here and take a look...

Propaganda, programming and lies are also education to some, but few I know would describe them as such. Anarchsm as far as I understand it is the belief tht all governments and laws are inherently bad and that people should regulate themselves. If this is n fact your creed why spend time educating at all? or bothering to critisize one government more than another? Or care about events tht did not happen to you or in your lifetime? What does the interaction between the U.S. government and the Native Americans have to do with you? Are you a memebr of thier descendants as I am? I ahve know many anarchists and none seemed as concerned or in truth even interested in the foreign polcy of another nation or any nation for that matter. Why then are you? Or is the anarchist label simply a convienient way for you to hide your true self?

The only smoke screen is this sudeen ad hominem "true self" attack that seemed to pop up out my statement about being an anarchist. Which I stated as a reson for not needing this "own pride of self and country".

I only care about people making outrageous claims about America "being blessed by god" and a "shining example" etc. 'coz that where the spin starts. So I counter every "good" point with a bad one to remember.
I have never said one country is worse than the other. Just that Amreica is more active right now.
