Shooting near Reno, Nevada just now. The Nugget in Sparks, NV

This is from a friend who is there... this JUST happened about 11:50 pm, Friday night PT.

Said there's about 30 cop cars, all the police there with guns drawn yelling for people to get down and/or back in the elevators. All he could see was tons of people laying on the ground (as directed by police). His quote was "someone open fire in the bar area and lobby"

I'm sure we'll see it on the news shortly; my friend sent a pic of the cop cars and ambulances.

Yes, that's how I meant it. I have been in places before where I could easily imagine a chunk of anything falling through the building or landing in the parking lot causing panic and gunfire. You never know. Especially lately.

Still nothing on Google.

I don't know the validity of this but it's from the guy who told me about the incident. Word is there were Hell's Angels and Vagos motorcycle clug members there, something happened and shooting broke out. Says tons of people in handcuffs now and cops running around.

By the sounds of it, there is no discussion on the radio regarding this incident.

This week is "Street Vibrations" in reno/sparks.
There are cycles everywhere. It's a celebration of the Motorcycle.
This is one of the biggest casinos in town.
ALL bars are Biker bars this week.
I can see the Nugget from my Front window.

I just walked outside with binoculars...and it looks quiet outside. But my view is a bit blocked...

So far it sounds like a lot of shots, with minimal reported injuries. 20-30 shots fired....
At one of the Restaurants in the Casino. Trader Dick's, I think....Drunken brawl, with guns.

Several units from the Sparks Police Department are investigating after a shooting at the John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks Friday night. Witnesses tell Channel 2 News several shots were fired inside the Nugget around 11:15 p.m. One worker at the Nugget tells us the shooting was biker-related. The Nugget has been blocked off at this time, while police investigate. We have a crew on scene, and we will have the latest details as we get them into our newsroom.

I left three year ago lol. I doubt you will see anything...the cops are probably all indoors investigating. They probably want to keep the inciedent as low profile as they can. I managed the hotels and did security for a few of the larger casinos in Reno - Grand Sierra, Silver Legacy, Cal Neva, Atlantis and Cal Neva. When incidents like this occurred it was real hush hush. Cops swoop in and head for the surveillance room to review footage. They will be able to identify the shooter no doubt. People are stupid to think they can shoot a gun in a casino without being caught.

There are literally thousands of cameras in the nugget. Every entrance and exit has a camera as well as the entire gaming floor and all of the exterior. The exterior cameras can zoom in and get a person face half a mile away. It used to be quite funny to catch people having sex in their vehicles thinking nobody could see them. lol.
