But the consequences always end up on innocent victims who had nothing to do with any of this to begin with.
Now, if this were scheduled to fall back at Cape Canaveral or Houston then, I can almost see how this is sort of okay

But these people play with techno toys and don't know how to properly depose of any of them. Look. They got rid of a satellite by ramming it into Jupiter!

And space junk is the official unofficial constantly changing story as to why the ISS might have to be ditched.

I don't even toss out chewing gum that's how conscientious I am of my planet and surroundings. So I have zero respect for 'advance science'. In fact, as a species?....we're getting further from the truth. And all this stuff NASA and CERN etc are doing? Won't help us one bit!!

UARS is now over Florida, at an altitude of 156 km.

Of course, by the time I get done writing this post, it'll have passed over Florida... so, don't worry about it.

And it passed almost directly over my head a couple minutes ago.
Now, it's moving on. But, it'll be back... ohh, it'll be back....

Huh? Am I right to assume you are NOT in Canada? Because this thing is traveling easterly.

UARS went up the East Coast.
I'm exactly where my Location says I am.

Obviously it's going to take out the White House and then somehow blow up the Naval Office portion of the Pentagon in the process.

What????
Went 'up'? Like longitudinal? I thought it's going around....latitudinal. Or is it a combo thereof? I know so little about modern stuff. But, I'm wise

For those of you who can't get the trackers to work, just keep hitting refresh. I did and GoogleSatTrack finally loaded for me. Didn't take too long either.

I think I see how its moving now. Like on a diangle but, easterly. Somehow I thought it was following the equator line. Well more or less.

The moral to the story is: A 'doomed' satellite has no one to answer to.

Its orbit is tilted significantly, so it looks like a sinusoid on the map. It went up the East Coast (as in, followed it, from Florida to Newfoundland), then went south of Iceland, and started coming down around England. Then, it goes down toward Australia, and swings around and comes up through the Pacific, where the orbit starts again.
Every 89 minutes.
Until it hits something, that is.
