My first ever thread. I am not an economist in any sense of the world but it has struck me as odd / coincidental that TPTB, Obama and other high ranking officials are to be in Denver on the 27th. Who would like to hazard a guess as to what would happen to America should the dollar go completley under on that day? Would it be unreasonable to think or imagine that very quickly the usa along with any country, would degenerate into chaos, looting, killing to defend what possessions you had even commiting murder to attain what we dont have i.e. food, water etc. It would seem prudent for the government to hide out of the way somewhere safe wouldnt it? especially if you had a large millitary presence on "exercise", at the same time.
Im not saying this will only happen in America, im sure when the bubble bursts times will be hard in every country round the world, this is just my feeling on the reasons behind the Denver exercises.
Any thoughts please share, remember this is my first thread so be gentle.

Peace to all

Well the dollar is actually doing quite well recently, so I don't think it will be a dollar collapse scenario. Could be a market collapse, or possibly a banking collapse. Greece could default sending the markets into a tail spin.

Don't worry about the dollar. It's the comet. Worldwide blackout. Looting, rioting. Then, when the power just doesn't come back on, well, you will think the looting and rioting were a picnic. Dollars? Huh, they are all just numbers in computers. So, when the computers don't work anymore, no more dollars. No more Euros. No more Yen. No more Pounds. No more Francs.

I'm heading out to sea on Sunday.

I think it will be a market crash Tuesday, forget some comet, they even said Elenin was breaking up anyways, but I think its Greece being the more logical issue at hand.
