Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), whose real name is Amanda Clark, decides to move back to the Hamptons to take revenge on the people who caused the destruction of her family and death of her father David (James Tupper). When she was a little girl, Amanda experienced her father getting arrested and her life getting completely destroyed. She ended up in prison and inherited the wealth of her father on her 18th brithday. After that she changes her name into Emily and decides to take revenge on the people who caused the destruction of her family.
