Right - Arizona RevisedStatutes Chapter 34 - Drug Offense Again you are enforcing State law not federal. As we all know possession of Marijuana less than 35g is a misdameanor. Possession of more than 35g or other illegal drugs is a felony. If you have a large quantity alone, or bundeled with intent to distribute, its still a state charge unless there is a joint task force or its refered over to the DEA / FBI.

Working at the request of another agency bestows their authority to you. Making an arrest on any warrant, regardless if its state, local or federal, is not restricted.

You can make an arrest based off your investigation at the state level, and turn it over to the feds who then will use Federal Statutes. Its as simple as the Police / PA cedeing jurisdiction.

Undocumented women… OH you mean illegal aliens. While this happens all the time all over. This illegal alien probably had better care in the police station than on the street where she would of had it. And you said forced to give birth. No they aren’t forced to give birth, it was their time to give birth. Shackled? What was she going to do anyway? Women giving birth don’t have their hands in there to help out, all she had to do was push. It was good she was shackled, that way she didn‘t get in the way of the birthing process. The physical act of crossing the border between Mexico and the US is a Federal Crime. SO, illegal they are and criminal they are as well.

The US has a way of coming here. Legal immigration and US Citizenship is achievable.

In addition, if they don't like it here, they are more then welcome to travel back to their home country.

Looking at all of the different immigration laws in the world, the US has one of the most liberal out there, very welcoming in its nature. If you look at say the immigration policy of Mexico, it is down right unwelcoming towards anyone who is not born in the country of Mexico.

Many other countries if a person crosses the boarder, and is not documented, they are treated like felons, spending time in prisons if not worse. Try that with say North Korea, Iran or even China or our oh so concerned neighbor Mexico. Prison time is the first start and it goes from there, accused sometimes of a far worse crime than entering the country illegally.

The women in this article, did more than just enter into the country illegally, they also were driving without a license, and chances are the woman had no auto insurance. What would you have told the parent or the family of a person who was killed by an illegal immigrant, sorry about your lose, but we have to treat these people with dignity?

No, we can not continue to allow this to continue on. We have to secure the borders first and foremost, along with enforcing the laws that are on the books. The system is broken, and needs to be reformed, along with a change in policies on both sides of the borders, one to discourage people from coming in the middle of the night, often enduring harsh treatment to get here, and the other to encourage people to come through the front door, and welcoming for those who are wanting to be citizens of the country.


We need to stop using illegal immigrants like cheap labor, and ultimately for them to stop using the US like an atm with a never ending supply of money.

Sadly enough because of EMTALA - Emrgency Medical Treatment and Labor Act.

It requires Hospitals to see a patient, regardless of ability to pay or citizenship. It doesnt cover all cases, however labor is one of them.

The laws we put in place to protect individuals from Hospitals turning them away because of ability to pay are the same laws illegal immigrants use.

That area of law gets sticky. Even if a US citizen goes on a 4 state 15 person dead shooting spree and is caught, if he calims he is having a heart attack he gets to go to the hospital to be checked (under certain circumstances the requst can be denied). If its denied and the person dies the very first question from the families attorney is going to be -
" Officer are you trained in Emergency medical medicine?

Officer if you anret trained in Emergency Medical Medicine, then you have no basis to diagnose whether or not your prisoner suffered from a medical condition.

Usually that conversation is followed up by the City asking the family how many zeros they would like after the 1 on their settlement.

I dont think citizenship status should matter for emergency medical treatment, same goes for medical condition. However I do support changing the laws that automatically grant citizenship.

I having nothing against legal immigration. If people wish to come here lawfully and kive their dream, who are we to stop them.

The ones who sneak across the border / enter ilegally. I would rather see them apply pressure in their own country to improve their situations there. Entering the US illegally doesnt fix the problem. Mass deportations wont fix the problem either.

We need to do more to work with our neighbors to help both economies out. With the downturn in the US economy, we are actually seeing people heading back to Mexico, whose economy is doing better than ours.

However ultimately, the people in those countries must start to fix it from within. Running away doesnt work.

So because things suck in your house I should let you and everyone of your family in mine... without any help even if i am not capable of supporting you? Look it sucks that people go though this. Just as Japan has, the US has ways to go about becoming a legal citizen.

I suggest you start looking at your own country before you start in on others.

As for having to migrate to Japan, I don't see that in the near future.
