It certainly seems like Israel has come to its final end. When the UN grants the Palestine statehood (and it will), it is going to split Israel in half and the jews will have their backs to the sea. The sun is setting on Israel. The U.S. may try to use its veto but there is more than one nation involved in the UN and the palestinians may recieve aid in the UN security council from other members in the region that are sympathetic to their plight.

Why does it mean the end of Israel if the PA gains statehood? If anything it will mean that both sides would finally be held accountable for their actions and that there may be a chance for a lasting, if uneasy peace.

No one has ever denied that Palestinian statehood is an inevitable outcome, in my opinion it's better sooner rather than later whilst there's still a chance for negotiation between the Palestinians and the Israeli government on a level playing field since both nations will officially be afforded the same rights and responsibilities as members of the UN.

The only reason the US and Israel are so scared of a Palestinian statehood is because then EVERYTHING Israel/Us is doing right now would actually be recognized as being illegal and this time it wont' be supported by the UN security council.

The only chance of "peace" is if they do get statehood and Israel is told to BTFO. Palestine and Israel talking about recognizing Palestine's human rights...yea right who the f... does he think he's kidding?

So you seek the complete destruction of Israel?

I especially like your "the Jews will be at the sea" echoing Arab threats made before the '48 war.

You people are sick. You are lying just to get Israel into this vulnerable position, whch will mean not just the "end" of Israel, but rather, the deaths of millions of Jews.

Acceptable, of course, to th Gnostic establishment.

Youre very naive.

It is the BEGINING of the end of Israel (in their minds)

The Arabs seek the COMPLETE ERADICATION of Israel..

This is a politiking and games. They (the UN/Arab League) intend to destroy israel by stages. This stage would mark the beginning of the eventual end. The Jews are 'at the sea', just as the Arabs said they would be, before they forced them INTO IT.

Were watching the formation of yet another holocaust against the Jewish people.

And the idiotic world stands around in its simplicity, while those who know better watch in utter horror.

Lets hope the Jews being in Israel will be enough to show the world.

Here we go. Anything that goes against what Israel wants will lead to another holocaust.

The Israel version of the race card.

This is a rather interesting situation, to say the least.

I do not support the ethical cleansing of the Palestine being attempted by the Jews. Nor do I support their agenda to seize control of the Dome of the Rock to reconstruct Solomon's temple. This threatens to light the fuze of Armageddon.

I do not want harm to befall on either side, but Israel is making its own bed, and possibly scripting their own demise.

As IsraeliGuy pointed out in another thread;

Palestinians gaining statehood would also mean that if just 1 rocket is fired into Israel, then Israel can legitimately view the attack as an act of war. They could then proceed to bury the Palestinians if they so wished.

Currently, without statehood, Israel is responsible for the well being of the Palestinians, like a reluctant parent and have to exercise some form of restraint. With statehood, the gloves could come off.

Now in light of this, maybe the OP would like to change the title of this thread?

Regardless of the outcome, this is a very volatile situation, with Friday looking to be potentially very violent.

I support Israel as I believe that they are in a unique situation and therefore cannot be judged from the same perspective. How many other countries in this world find themselves between multiple enemy nations, all with the ultimate desire of erasing them from history?

I also admire from a military standpoint, how Israel has dealt with near certain defeat in the past and has proven that it is an adversary to be feared.

The difference with Israel, is that it already believes that it is hated worldwide and therefore has less to lose.

It is the mistreated lion in the corner, poked with sticks frequently.

Underestimate Israel at your peril. She is one of the most potent and dangerous countries in the world.

If the Palestinian bid for statehood does go through, this will fall right in line with what the Papacy in Rome wants and has been fighting for for centuries.

Are you stupid?

Read the threat title. The "end of Israel". What do you think is meant by that??

Israel is the conglomoeration of 6 million Jews. The end of "Israel" probably wont occur through capitulation and emigratration, but rather, "throw the Jews into the sea" as Arab leaders, like Abdel Nasser and the PM of Jordan at the time -1948 war - said.

This cannot be anything other then another holocaust.

The westbank - where 600,000 Jews CURRENTLY LIVE - would be displaced. What happens to them? And what happens to the remander of Israel? the Negev? Undoubtedly, Palestinian would look to annex the negev. Leaving Israel nothing but their LOW-LYING economic heartland. Sitting neatly by for Arab terrorist to shoot missiles at it...

Israel, in natural terms, - CANNOT SURVIVE if Palestine were rewarded a state in the westbank.

Its that simple.

Some of you ATS members certainly do like to spout utter nonsence in regards to Israel, to a point of being obsessive compulsives.

Israel is not going anywhere; it is here to stay!

Now get over it and move on.

Hardly ,your getting a bit carried away here ,and it wont spell the end of Israel ,but i guess the Zionists will be frothing at the mouth by the though of the Palestinians being granted statehood.
Like Lieberman who had a verbal meltdown over it in Canada ,with his usual racist (we better then all of you)talk.

And the idiotic world stands around in its simplicity, while those who know better watch in utter horror.

This is the kind of attitude that grinds peoples gears ,so the world is idiotic ,because they don't support your views ?

Honestly, its tiring..

There seems to be too many of you agents running around, seeking to seed false views and opinions about Israel and "zionism". Now, it has become self replicating. Everyone catches on to these views eventually becoming impervious to contrary information - which disrupts their emotionally charged prejudice.

Is this enough?

The westbank - where 600,000 Jews CURRENTLY LIVE - would be displaced. What happens to them? And what happens to the remander of Israel? the Negev? Undoubtedly, Palestinian would look to annex the negev. Leaving Israel nothing but their LOW-LYING economic heartland. Sitting neatly by for Arab terrorist to shoot missiles at it...

Its as if you guys could care less about statements made by Arab leaders before the '48 war. Why did they reject the state offerred them? It wasnt the size offerred, but the sheer fact the Jews were given anything...

How come people dont process this? Insanity. They are insane thanks to the agents of disinformation out there...

For some incredibly #ed up reason, people think Israel and Palestine can live 'side by side' in peace. It wont! Palestine - an instrument of Pan Arabism - WILL seek to finish the job. Their politiking of "give us a state too
" is BS...its for the western media.

Eventully, Israel will either be suckered into a war through Arab instigation (like sending flotillas into another countries sovereign waters) or by some other means...

Perhaps having 600,000 Jews living in Judea and Samaria "the west bank" will be the impetus for war......Where will those Jews go? The majority of them are RELIGIOUS, and so they are in no hurry to leave...

Its a disastrous situation which Arab strategists know will leave Israel cornered; both by the complicit international commnity, and by surrounding middle eastern nations (Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Iran)....

What about these "views".....

International law and Israeli settlements

The international community considers the establishment of [color=limegreen]Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied territories illegal under international law, but Israel maintains that they are consistent with international law because it does not agree that the Fourth Geneva Convention applies to the territories occupied in the 1967 Six-Day War. However, the United Nations Security Council and the International Court of Justice affirm that the Fourth Geneva Convention does indeed apply. The majority of legal scholars also hold the settlements to violate international law, while others have offered dissenting views.

[color=limegreen]Numerous UN resolutions have stated that the building and existence of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights are a violation of international law. "Unauthorized" or "illegal" outposts

It is a very very sad time when ignorant people cast judgement and sweeping statements regarding this diplomatic crisis. "They deserve what's coming to them" etc

I feel your frustration, I know also, that if it came to it, Israel will use the Samson Option and cripple surrounding Arab countries that choose to attack it.

However, when people are essentially ushering in the next holocaust and are celebrating it already, I really hang my head in disgust.

This situation is far bigger than most understand. The consequences of Arab nations attacking Israel could pull the world into the next world war. Infact, it has been long known as the most likely and plausible catalyst for World War III of all possible scenarios.

And it could all start with this seemingly innocent and righteous request of statehood and recognition.

Are you talking about the Israeli military presence in the West Bank?? 600,000 Jews live in the westbank. Furthermore, the west bank is strategically important for Israels continued safety; thus, Israel must maintain a military presence there.

Frankly, i hope and pray that Israel ANNEX the westbank, impose common Israeli law and end the 'settlement' question alltogether. Tell the world to go Fudge themselves if they dont like it.

Maybe this is what Israel will do???

Maybe its what should happen. All this 'back and forth' is getting old. Its going to finish in war. Unfortunately.

I just dont think the enemies of the Jews would want it anyother way.
