No odd sounds in Louisville. I'll keep an ear open for anything though. Hopefully it is as benign as has been reported.

Anyone else reminded of this

OK the event. It will start with people reporting strange lights / colours / sounds from the sky. This will get more and more frequent over the years, and more and more people will panic. The people will see pictures /events in the sky. then they will see craft and the like in the skies, culminating with a night, where people will see, in the night sky, the stars of the plough dance and shift. they will dance and shift about, and then be seen to swoop down over the heads of people in the sky forming shapes and sounds...

A confession.

Anyone here in Lexington or
Paris?

I am in Lexington. I actually did hear a strange sound about 8:45am when I was getting in the car to head for work. I heard it immediately when I went outside but it does not fit the description of the op - it was a very high pitched like tone not a low rumble.

I could have been a different sound because
of the distance from Winchester. Going to
call my daughter now as she is off work
and lives in Paris.

I was being fascitious...jokes are lost on you.

Lol, my bad. You posted in another thread that we live in heaven before we are born, and then we choose to come down to earth and risk losing our soul to a fiery eternity if we don't choose god, so I thought you might be serious. Were you serious in that other thread?

It's the hum!!! Very strange, indeed, similar noises have been being heard all over the world, for a few years now.

Stay safe everyone.

I was curious to see if there were any nuclear plants in the area...according to this link there are not any in Kentucky.

Well, no. However, there is the Blue Grass Army Depot. That's bad enough. Ever so often, they find leaks. They sometimes keep the leaks hush hush.

ATS is always good for LOUD UNEXPLAINED NOISES and MYSTERIOUS LOW FLYING AIRCRAFT. Important stuff.

Heard a roar of varying strength from 9:11 to 9:20 (approx) in St Louis Missouri. It sounded like a plane's afterburner, then got softer, then reintensified. Def sounded like gas explosion.

You do know there was a small EQ in your neck of the woods, right? Well maybe close by is an exaggeration.....it looks as if it took place 150 miles from ya. Stay safe!!

Blue Grass Army Depot.

In Avon, right and one of these
days it isn't going to be so
hush hush after the big leak
occurs.
