I see you constantly trashing liberals, expecially when they critisize Israel. It is ironic, however, since Israel was founded by largely liberals on socialist principles.

I believe that the support and criticism for Israel are at an even 50/50. I can vouch for this as most my posts have been in the Middle East Discussion forum.

People act as if the pro-Israeli crowd is riduculed and in some sense persecuted on these forums, yet fail to see that both sides of the spectrum are constantly ridiculed. I would say I am some way in between in the centre of the spectrum and I have seen both sides launch accusations and ad-hominem attacks in my direction, however I mostly see this coming from the pro-Israel crowd. I have come to the conclusion that this is some sort of defence mechanism when faced with historical, social, economic and political facts.

Hamas doesn't deserve a voice. The people who live in the palestinian territories (Gaza Strip and West Bank) do not deserve our respect. Not until they stand up as a people and desire peace.

Have a look:

Hamas is a brutal regime that has NO right to govern the palestine people. They're criminals.

Look here:
en.wikipedia.org ...

...Between 2001 and January 2009, over 8,600 rockets had been launched, leading to 28 deaths and several hundred injuries,[1][2] as well as widespread psychological trauma and disruption of daily life.
............
...However, in 2006 more sophisticated rockets began to be deployed, reaching the larger coastal city of Ashkelon, and by early 2009 major cities Ashdod and Beersheba had been hit by Katyusha and Grad rockets.
............
...The attacks, widely condemned for targeting civilians, have been described as terrorism by United Nations, European Union and Israeli officials, and are defined as war crimes by human rights groups Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.

These rocket attacks which have become increasingly sophisticated are the reason Israel entered into the Gaza War and established a blockade. People have short memories!

It's speculated that weapons and materials are being smuggled into the palestinian territories.

Hamas, voted into power by the palestinian people in 2007, has been at war with Israel ever since. They had a chance to crack down on the rocket attacks and stop them. By not doing this they have showed the international community their true intentions. They want a war and that's what will happen most likely. It's a circus that they want statehood now. THEY DESERVE WAR.

So I REJECT their bid for statehood because their actions show they want war instead.

I don't support Israel. I'm staying out of that mess. Yes i'm sympathetic to their plight as they have enemies all around them, but theres nothing i can do about it and frankly, they kinda did it to themselves. It may be that the lands of palestine belonged to them until 2000 years ago, but the jewish rebels that failed to overtrhow the Romans rule in 70 A.D. paid the price for that failure.

However i will go so far as to say this. None of the land any nation on earth claims belongs to these countries. Mankind is just leasing God's property and more often than not were squatters, just like the paletinians that squatted on Israel's lands after the jews were expelled in 70 A.D.

I can't support any nation that kills the peoples of another nation, i don't even support my government when it comes to breaking the commandments God set down in the OT. Murder is not my way and for all intents and purposes war is murder.

Stick to your guns friend

Most of the anti-Israel posters on this forum haven't the first clue about the region's history and have been sucked in by the very same MSM that they would never buy into on any other topic on ATS.

The problem is that you are fighting against people who are driven by passion and hatred rather than intelligence and knowledge most of the time. Kind of like debating something of significance with the average youtube troll.

Majority in favour of one side of an argument equals more stars and flags for that side, leading you to maybe question your beliefs at times. However, take strength from this Gandhi quote;

"Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth."

And i agree whole heartily back on page 1 any and all foreign aid needs to stop immediately to get our own act together feed our hungry cure our sick and put the american worker back to work till then every other country should handle their own problems but sadly the tools we vote into power neglect their people and worry about others. But this has no bearings on my feelings towards Israel even if we did not financially support them i would still morally support them.

So if I signed an agreement with all your neighbors to collectively make you leave your neighborhood you would not "attack" back in any way you could to stop us?

Yes, I believe you would.

No I would not. Unlike you I do not cave in to what other people think or says. I would point out the property belongs to me and I would not under any circumstances be leaving and if they didn't like it then they could collectively kiss my backside.

take a look at that statement you just made because that's exactly what happened in the 6 day war their borders were lined with enemy troops surrounded Israel said thats enough and struck first just as you would Israel said kiss my backside and went all out

don't believe me if Canada and Mexican troops stacked up on the borders and Chinese troops held out in international waters off our shores with ill intent would you wait for them to strike or would you land the first blow?
i dont believe you would let them hit first i know i wouldnt

Most of the people on this site have never read the bible . They don't have a clue whats happening in thier world today . They only know that it gets in the way of their party , what ever that constitutes .
The fact is that the world will turn against Israel including America . Israel will bear the blame for what the World Bank and IMF is about to do to the World Economy . The fact that all of these Banksters call themselves Jews along with the NWO bunch . These serve only moneyand power . I believe that Jesus addressed these so called Jews in the Temple even back then . These people are unaware that we are entering the period of the Great Tribulation . They think that things are going to get better and no matter what happens to Israel it won't affect their world . I doubt that most of them have ever heard of the war coming Gog and Magog or the Mark of the Beast . Satan is a master of dulision , the first thing he does is to make you look past God .

Some may argue that the real delusion is believing a 2000 year old book constitutes the only true belief out of the countless beliefs in existence. I do agree some of what the Bible says pieces together nicely with what's happening, but other parts are completely off-track nonsense. Anyway, predicting that someday humanity will face a crisis is like predicting the sun will eventually die out. If I predict that 2000 years from now, some people will be psychopathic war-mongerers, does that make me a prophet? No, these things happen because it's the circle of life and it's been that way for all of time.

they don't know how to make peace with their neighbors

that is the most naive statement I've seen all day. They're neighbors do not want peace now, they want to destroy.

I agree that we need to take care of matters at home.. but we do not need to leave allies high and dry.
