Check out Gando's replies. He knows what it is. It is indeed a drill bit.

Come on people. The replies here are amusing, but keep it real!

Who's to say that the military still does the same thing 20 years later?

it looks like a saucer..uh but where did it come from?
must be some kind of project for sure but much more mundane than something that fell from beyond.
Besides, if it really did happen, how else could you make it so obvious that nobody would follow it to see
where it goes as it is being hauled away..If alien it could be conatminated and could not be taken away like
that..so either it is a common tv satellite or a part of a local project or a fallen craft from another country or
maybe one of our own upper air packages that was parachutted down..I opt for it being something quite
common..yawn.

Or maybe the aliens called AAA because their saucer broke down and it's brought to the UFO repairshop at Area51.. they got parts around there anyway, right? ;-)

Just did a quick search on the No. 3 tunnel to Lake Mead, and it's diameter is 6 meters or about 20 feet. So it could possibly be a drilling head for a tunnel boring machine as mentioned by Gando earlier.

It's a covered satellite dish. You don't tote those around without covering them. Trucks go over 70.

I'd have gone with satellite dish, but drill bit is a better observation.

If it was a UFO, pix and reports would be ALL over the news about them driving down the highway with it.

It seems it doesn't weigh much and how is it rigged to the truck? I don't see any straps which are commonly used.
Is it bolted on the trailer?

why does it have to be tilted and what is holding it there? i dont see any straps....magnets baby....magnets!

magnets?

Where do you believe would be the last place that you would see a UFO craft? Yeah, on the back of a truck going across the freeway/highway/motorway.

What a great way by government officials to cover up a crash landed alien craft. Put the object in the faces of people and they will sneer and laugh at something that could be the real thing.....

Saying that though, it's probably just a model that was on top of the Outer This World, casino in Las Vegas....

My reply may be amusing to you....but it is my reply....my speculations....my opinions. I am keeping it real with my personal opinions....they may be right.....they may be wrong....but they count just as much as yours or anyone elses.

It's obviously a really large basket of chinese lanterns, right?

Well, I'm going to say kudos on posting the pics.

I don't think it's a transported UFO...the Satellite Dish idea is probably closer to the mark...but still, thanks for the pics and the story.

I'd have to think that any such transport would be done at night, and likely blocking off roads, low traffic route, etc.

Still, thanks for posting the pics along with the account.

Has anyone from the place where the pictures were taken called the police service that accompanied that truck to inquire as to what was transported?... Worst that could happen is them saying "We can't tell."

I thought of a satellite dish, too. I find the idea of a drill bit interesting, but how strong would it be since it is clearly very thin at the ridges?!...

A question to the OP; was it spherical all the way? We don't have the angle to show if a part of it had a flat side or not. ( When seen from "above, if a "saucer". )

Also, has anyone thought about a human engine, like an unmanned probe, saucer like? Could it be possible?

A previous poster noted there had been threads recently about something falling in that region, and a blockade of sorts from the Army in Vegas... Anyone has any follow up on that? Are these events related? Thanks.

The funny part of this entire post? This could be a picture of completley uncovered ufo, followed by militarty, road blocks, other ufo's flying overhead, and people would say that it is definitly not real. shakes head

ok. UFO: Maybe. definitly has the right shape. Someone stated that By the looks of the rig, the object is VERY heavy. Then again, do we know how much ufo's weigh??lol I heard someone say it looked too small. How many different sized vehicles are UFO manufacturers allowed?? ;p

Sat: Maybe. has the right shape. Sort of. Again, the weight issue comes to mind.

Drill bit. Maybe. I guess I need to see a good pic of one. what is under that tarp has a smooth dome. I dont know enough about the bits to know how they are shipped. do they put something smooth over the bit head, then tarp it that well just for transport? idk

Prop: Maybe. A very heavy one tho.

Everything we guess is a maybe, because IT IS COVERED! Unless you can find the truk driver, the super tarper, or one of those cops, we will never know. It could be anything, could be a new over sized frisbee for all I know.

When trying to figure this out, keep in mind the smooth looking dome that the tarp is covering, and even the unique shaped of it. and the possible weight issue.

We cant say for sure what it is, so why are we laughing at the pics and the OP??
Im stickin with frisbee ;p

That is a low-boy trailer with it's back axle down it is not going 70 mph. That load is heavy there are 26 tires on 7 axles on the ground that is 2 axle more than a normal Semi.

How heavy is a satellite dish of that size?

LOLz... Thanks for the laugh. That's no UFO... its a UVO, Unknown Vehicle Object. And in the same shape as a UFO though.. ;-P But it could also be a giant Manta Ray

Its probably a satellite dish. If it were a UFO or some kind of black ops project they would use an aircraft to transport it. And even if they didn't it wouldn't be guarded by cops and they wouldn't use a civilian transport.

looks cool though.
