Not only should there be a protest against the FED, but should also be the IMF and World Bank. American taxpayers may end up paying for Greek and Italian baillouts. Unless you are pro Socialist redistribution of wealth it should make you angry.

Sadly the most that will get done is what we "accomplished" this weekend and today with wall street.

All the Presidents since LBJ have been puppets.I think the powers behind the throne and the permanent bureaucracy will fight anyone who comes into the oval office looking to change anything.

But a bunch of random people overthrowing their local governments amounts to nothing more than a mob. revolutions must be organized things. Plans must be made for future stability. If you don't consider what comes next you get anarchy and that usually makes things worse than before. the well being of the people must be considered , otherwise you are killing the patient to cure the disease. Destroying things because it is the quickest and simplest way to solve a problem is what our "leaders" do now. I see how well it is working for them(sarcasm). I say these things to you with respect and I don't mean for them to sound adversarial. I understand your anger.

True. Peaceful protests won't change anything. I hate violence but sometimes that is what it takes to change things.
But we also need a new system ready to replace the old one, or else it'll just be the same old song and dance.
For example this: en.wikipedia.org...

Democracy is just another control mechanism to give us the illusion of power. That through our votes we can make a difference, which of course we can't. The real powerstructure never changes.
