Elenin is dead.... It disintegrated...

So to answer your question, I'm pretty sure it's not Elenin

I dont get it, this comets said to have an orbit of so and so many thousand years. So this year its jus dismantled itself and had enough of making its circle journeys..

You're mixing up Elenin with Niburu, or Planet X, or Nemisis, or the Death Star, or whatever else it's been called.

Let's wait for September 26th before believing a given fact by NASA, especially concerning such a topic where getting the truth is very hard or being deformed by the ones who knows. Digging deeper, dear ATSers which are non believers could be a way to open your eyes to things you may have not started to consider. Just saying ...

Elenin (what's left of it) is not in the field of view of STEREO B.
I don't see anything moving toward the Sun. All I see is stars.

I have not followed the crap about this comet. But comets behave fairly routinely. Since it was visible a long time coming into the Sun, its orbit was very well known at the time of its passing behind the Sun. Such would also be the case as when it would reappear.

If it did disintergrate--as I say, I've not followed the crap--it still would not have altered its course much. Comets splitting apart simply more or less become a chain and pieces follow others very much along the original orbit. These fragments do NOT go flying off in all directions as if they explode.
They simply fall apart.

Comets usually brighten the most as they are closest to the Sun. This comet SHOULD have been more visible after it rounded the sun than earlier. Some comets do appear to use up their materials as they approach the Sun and grow less visible, but most do not (and it depends upon our vantage point also). Any strange behaviors of this comet would surely be commented upon on websites dealing with such bodies. Not that they would be claiming it was alive or under intelligent control, but simply because, as they like to say, it was behaving under "non-gravitational forces."

Personally, I have no knowledge of what happened to it if anything. I'm just trying to level the playing field here after all of the garbage that a few people have spewed out about it.

Just to clear up any confusion, disintegrate does not mean disappear. The mass of any comet is still present even if it disintegrates, melts or evaporates. The mass does not just disappear, it still remains in some form.

Following Newton's law of motion an object will stay in motion unless otherwise impeded upon by another force. The debris of comet Elenin will remain in its current trajectory until another force acts upon it.

I see something in the middle of the right hand side of the animation moving left, but there are 7 other planets in our solar system besides Earth.

It could just be another planet.

It can't be elenin.
