We can but live in hope. In all fairness it would make a lot of money for the country but then we would be just further squeezed by the continual influx of visitors from Europe and beyond that never wish to go home so in a sense the money made would just be drained on the services required to support the massive ammounts of peoples coming to England, not to work but to make use of the free services on offer.... Now I'm not too sure about stateside but I did hear that over in the U S medical treatment is not a free for all.., now if we were to charge for our medical treatment that would probably curb the ammounts of immigrants. On the other hand all the people having nervous breakdowns due to the high quantities of legal weed they were smoking wouldn't be able to afford treatment... So then we would have a load of lunatics roaming the country high on weed in some serious state of health.....

It's easy to talk this way, but the Conservatives will never agree to this.

Why would they allow the likes of us to enjoy something they undertake on a recreational basis? How dare the other classes even think about such a thing.

Unfortunately this is a NO goer, so to speak. It's a shame, but hey, there's always cigarettes and alcohol. Well, at least for now.

Cannabis is not even that harmful just you have been told lies and the thing you said loads people roaming around high is just hyped up when you see films its nothing stupid your more in control high than drunk but the main thing this is good for it would be a lot harder for underage people to get it which is much better and safer and puts dealers out of business and medicinal user wouldn't be criminals which is sad i think, i have seen a lot of people who suffer from MS that can hardly work without out cannabis but they still get denied by doctors for prescriptions.

Been a smoker forty years and more......Seen a number of these seemingly sane ideas go by un acted upon.
The reasons are fairly obvious.
1)The PTB make a lot of cash off illegal drugs.
They use this cash to fund their pet black projects, as well as live to the style they feel they deserve.
2)The intelligence services use the drug running networks to their advantage when they need to go underground etc.Clandestine work would be far more difficult without them.And they provide a cadre of wet work specialists as well.....
3)The narco traffickers are too well connected too high up in the halls of goverment.They have unlimited bribe money in cash to spread around.If anyone would be against legalisation they would,(even though they stand ready to supply the dope either way.....illegal earns more profits.
In a perfect world maybe....................
