Actually, Space Truckin' came from the R. Crumb poster that was popular at the time, Keep On Truckin'. They thought it would be interesting to be a space trucker, it being just after the moon landing and all the space age nonsense of the time, and the imagery worked. When they recorded the album they often saw the aurora borealis.

But yeah, it kinda means nothing. Last time I checked, there ain't no truckers in space.

I highly don't believe that they were referring to such thing

Now I think people, depending on their mindset, look at songs differently. they can remind you of different things, and they can interpret them differently. You're into the alien stuff, so it isn't abnormal for you to interpret such things in that way.

The opening lyrics to Kashmir are quite interesting. Always made me think of some kind of alien scenario...

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face
Stars to fill my dreams
I am a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been

Secret elders of the gentle race
This world is seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed

Nope no aliens.. just a long drive through the Moroccan desert...

How so? Secret elders sounds like a secret society or something given the world is seldom seen. All will be revealed soon. The first para refers to space and time, not very Moroccan
