I have travelled to China 4 times and saw that there is a lot of Christians.. I wasn't sure of the numbers then, but in 2005 it seemed that the
majority faith there was still buddism..
The sad thing about China and Christianity is that the communist party feel threatened by it, and they persecute Christians wholesale...
Some churches are left alone, but the government controls these churches and make rules when Chinese people can attend services.. Foreigners are not
allowed to attend the same service as natives unless that native has a valid visa to legally leave the country.. has to do with influencing people i
think..
the communists there enjoy beating and killing Christians on occasion, and when a new Christian church is being built, they will monitor the progress,
and when the church is finished they will come in with bulldozers and bulldoze it into toothpicks, and then laugh and taunt the people..and hurt them
in any way they feel like, including their family members that aren't there at the time..
I have never met a nicer family oriented people than the chinese people, but comparing them to the government is like night and day..
