I'm sure many people of his time laughed at him. "How could China become a Christian nation", I'm sure many thought. This prediction seemed like pure craziness to many people, and yet it is coming true! What do you think about this? Christianity in China is getting as popular (if not more) than New Age in America...

I have travelled to China 4 times and saw that there is a lot of Christians.. I wasn't sure of the numbers then, but in 2005 it seemed that the majority faith there was still buddism..

The sad thing about China and Christianity is that the communist party feel threatened by it, and they persecute Christians wholesale...

Some churches are left alone, but the government controls these churches and make rules when Chinese people can attend services.. Foreigners are not allowed to attend the same service as natives unless that native has a valid visa to legally leave the country.. has to do with influencing people i think..

the communists there enjoy beating and killing Christians on occasion, and when a new Christian church is being built, they will monitor the progress, and when the church is finished they will come in with bulldozers and bulldoze it into toothpicks, and then laugh and taunt the people..and hurt them in any way they feel like, including their family members that aren't there at the time..

I have never met a nicer family oriented people than the chinese people, but comparing them to the government is like night and day..

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. . .

No, this is not the first time Christianity has spread to another nation spontaneously.

Neither is it the first time Christians have been persecuted.

(Do you know the history of the Roman Catholic Church? I assume that is the one you are inferring.)

Christianity was being peddled on the Chinese as early as the 1800's. So unless Cayce made the prediction before he was born, than it is pretty much nonsense now isn't it?

In 1800 there were 250,000 baptized Roman Catholics, but no known Protestant believers out of an estimated 362 million Chinese.

Posters: I don't think the OP was trying to make a judgement one way or another about Christianity....nor did he want to debate religion.

I think it was more a statement about Edgar Caycee...

and a very interesting one at that!

I think what you are saying is true... You feel threatened by it because it could all be true and you might be judged someday?

I hear you brother!

I opened this thread because I thought, Cool, an Edgar Casey thread, but I should have known it would turn into another Christian bashing thread. All ATS is anymore is Christian bashing or Israel bashing. It is sickening.

Sorry OP for my rant. Edgar Casey has predicted a lot of interesting things and its amazing to see when they come into existence.

Well first, I never claimed a religion or any church way to jump to conclusions.

Okay what do you know about pre-Constantine Christianity? I am talking about the "Jewish"-Christian cults.

I am not talking about the Bible that they (druids and other pagan religions under Rome) rewrote and peddled to the masses.

And when I said you have no idea what you are talking about I was referring to concept of free will, but that is lost on most "church-haters" as they rather believe in their rhetoric. Free will as in God created people with the power to make their own decisions and perform the actions they choose even if it goes against God's will. Really a simple concept but likely you will retaliate with something about if God was all powerful he wouldn't let any bad things happen. . . . which is just a totally pointless argument.

Anyways OP,

I don't think China will become a Christian nation they will most likely continue to oppress openly Christians to the point where it is impossible to survive and people will have to practice it underground. Christianity's ideals of free will fly in the face of secular governmental population control.

Oh me of little faith.

What I think is that you are biased, as you did not share your own thoughts on the subject.

What are your thougs given you have already given Christianity the title of crazziness in your op.

I know! I did not expect for this to turn into a Christianity bashing thread. When I said it was "crazy", I wasn't calling Christianity crazy. I was saying crazy as in "odd" or "strange" that a man living in those times could predict that there would be such a change in China, where most were not really into Christianity... I'm sure for others around him at the time, they probably would have thought that he was just a crazy man, but now we see that he wasn't. His prediction came true...

No one is seeing the main points of the conversion to China. They are:

1) Jesus is fullfilling his prophecy that the gates of hell will not prevail against his church. The church always thrives in persecution and true to form it has been growing in China through the power of miracles, healings and the raising of the dead.

2) Christianity in the West is largely dead. If you think you are a christian I have news for you. Most churches overseas would throw you out as a heretic and unbeliever based on your corrupt lifestyle. You sin outrageously. You divorce your spouses, watch porn, have sex outside of marriage, use drugs, have never read your Bible and don't really believe a word of it if you have, you don't have faith in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, and you don't pray. You have a form of godliness but deny it's power, just as Paul predicted would happen in the last days. That's why you don't see the same miracles in your churches and have little to no authority or power.

3) God blesses his believers. For this reason China will now become the predominate culture throughout the world. The West has failed in it's mission and now must be removed to accomplish God's purposes. This has been the pattern throughout history. Those who persecute Jews and Christians and who hate God are removed. So bye bye you libertine leftists. Your sick perverted hollywood culture is about to be annihilated. I take no pleasure in this.
