Counter to tracking technologie

They make these tiny tracking devices that are magnetic and you can stick them on the bottom of a car and watch were the person goes and how long they stay.

What is the counter to this? How can I either find the device is there and take it offf or disable it?

You need a scanner which is capable of " seeing " this device .

Did you find one on your car or are you just worried about it? I would be more worried about the rfid tags they stuck in your arm the last time you were at the hospital....

Or that iphone you carry everywhere you go. Not that they need it with all the face book updates.

Those trackers broadcast on a specific radio frequency which varies by manufacturer. Scanners that detect those transmissions are commercially available.

Just Google "bug detector"

There are commercially available GPS jammers. Cost runs from around 200 up to $500. You can also buy Spy scanners online, that can identify anything that may be attached to your car, home etc. Cost again around $500.
so it depends upon just how serious the problem is. If you know there is one on your car. A very careful search will probably reveal it. If not and it is a real affront to you, spring for the money for a scanner to locate it. Then place it in a place that moves a lot just to drive the trackers crazy. Lets say put it under a freight train car that is going to Columbia.

Better yet, place it on some drug dealers car. That could have interesting results; depending upon who is tracking you.

Idealy you want to make your vehicle surfaces magneticaly inert so that magneticaly attatched bugs cannot be applied. On the other hand it might be better to make your vehicles surfaces and components capable of delivering an EM feild to scramble the signal.

Another option (although there is NO way to impliment this without a ground up rebuild of the vehicle) is to coat the entire vehicle in a material which can be electrified. The reason that a full rebuild would be required, is to ensure that fuel carried within various components does not get exposed to arcing electricity, causing a detonation.

Slamming high voltage through a lo-voltage unit of the sort which would be utilised for small devices like trackers would mess em up pretty good.

The only other counter measures you could use, would likely be very time consuming indeed, requiring a level of eyesight access to to the areas of the vehicle that would be ideal to place a tracker on.
