Thing is, you can't get the truth this way.

Here's the truth ( just skip the post if you don't want it )...

Democrats and Republicans are equally evil.

Democrats cheered when the government gave loans to the poor so they could afford homes - not understanding the housing bubble they were contributing to that would later put people out of work, cut health insurance, put people on the streets that lose their homes, etc

Democrats cheered when Al Gore said that Saddam Hussein was a threat to national security and the world and similarly supported and cheered our troops when we entered the Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, which inevitably led to many innocent people (not terrorists, not troops) dying with large gaps between official estimates and independent estimates (everything from 100,000 deaths to over 1,000,000) - did any of the children who were killed have a choice?

Democrats cheer when climate change legislation is considered for passage through congress to be signed by the president, while not noticing the immense toll it could have on our economy; keeping in mind that converting to a carbon-free economy is expensive and many will lose jobs and other other benefits which translates to a kind of dislocation and financial troubles

Democrats cheered when NAFTA was signed - which shipped american jobs (and pollution) oversees and made life very difficult for our manufacturing base - people in this field of work were dislocated to give a poor person in another country a job

It goes on and on. Both parties have their vices. Republicans always tend to support the military without question and reject government even when it could help while democrats blindly support government and restrict freedom for those who're best able to use it. Anyway, I'm done.

How do you see cheering? Do you taste colors too?

There was talk of somebody dying due to not having insurance, cheering. No soundbites, no clarification, just cheering. If you insist to label this as "liberalo media spin" you've made up your mind a while ago.

WOLF BLITZER, CNN: Before I get to Michele Bachmann, I want to just -- you're a physician, Ron Paul, so you're a doctor. You know something about this subject. Let me ask you this hypothetical question.

A healthy 30-year-old young man has a good job, makes a good living, but decides, you know what? I'm not going to spend $200 or $300 a month for health insurance because I'm healthy, I don't need it. But something terrible happens, all of a sudden he needs it.

Who's going to pay if he goes into a coma, for example? Who pays for that?

CONGRESSMAN RON PAUL (R-TEXAS): Well, in a society that you accept welfarism and socialism, he expects the government to take care of him.

BLITZER: Well, what do you want?

PAUL: But what he should do is whatever he wants to do, and assume responsibility for himself. My advice to him would have a major medical policy, but not be forced --

BLITZER: But he doesn't have that. He doesn't have it, and he needs intensive care for six months. Who pays?

PAUL: That's what freedom is all about, taking your own risks.

[APPLAUSE]

This whole idea that you have to prepare and take care of everybody --

(APPLAUSE)

BLITZER: But Congressman, are you saying that society should just let him die?

PAUL: No.f

No cheering and the applause was in response to what I explained earlier.

I'm going to take a wild guess you get your news from the typical Democrat friendly sources. You've always been a shill for the Democrat party and their media SG. Don't deny it.

I get it with folks on the rightwing, it's this idea of when life is precious and when it isn't. Life is only precious when it's the womb and once it's out, that's life. Life begins at conception and therefor it cannot be touched, but life can be taken regardless of the risk to it's innocence when we talk about the law, when we talk about legal and societal dictation of it's value.

We must all sit here and follow the moral guidelines of those on the rightwing. I'm sorry, that's a load of BS if you ask me.

Do you EVER apply these ridiculous standards and stereotypes to your side? All you post is tired liberal partisan bull#.

If there really were a billion christians on the planet we'd see an epic push for peace and love that would dwarf the hippy movement of the 60s. We haven't seen this because Christianity is basically b.s. Like all religions. Great for division, great for inspiring people to kill and die and judge others, pretty much useless for anything else.

What some see as Christian hate is the new unapologetic belief in the downfall of all religions. Religion holds people back, keeps people intolerant, and embracing of war. Time for all of it to stop so sanity can be given a chance. It's all a bunch of silly story nonsense anyway and everyone knows it. As if there is a book out there that has the 'only' path to Heaven. What a crock. Blows my mind that people actually believe this stuff.

Whoa...wait...wat...?

Before I begin I am a Baptist (let the defecation begin, I am a lightning rod of hate)

Let me make sure I've got this right.

Christians are for taking people in and giving them food and clothes for no reason but to help others. Christians are for the defense of the defenseless. Christians are for forgiveness and rehabilitation.

Are we talking about the same Christians? Maybe if we put radical in there it'd be more acceptable?

How are the core beliefs of Christianity (unity, peace, forgiveness) "b.s." as you put it? How do those core ideas of bringing everyone together and supporting others NOT go against the idea of "division, great for inspiring people to kill and die and judge others, pretty much useless for anything else." Perhaps I don't understand where you're coming from?

Please, I am sincere. Have you had an experience with Christians before? Do you know what denomination they were? Do you know if they were only labeling themselves for attention? I intend to set the record straight.

The ideas you profess as "Christian" are nothing such and I only want others to see the craziness that exists in the "religious" world others are left out of or opt to stay out of.

As to the belief that religion holds us back and keeps us tolerant or supporting of war, I do not agree.
All the "silly story nonsense" has next to no importance in how I act. I have no idea of others, but what I hold to be Christian is to live like "Christ" or as close as we can manage. If you mess up, that's what forgiveness is for.

No one is perfect, even Christ had his moments where he gave in.

The word or book or whatever are merely guidelines to life and beliefs of others. No where in there does it tell you how to live or how anyone expects you to live. Only how others lived and dealt with the evil in their lives.

Please, talk to me, tell me of your experiences. I'm not here to judge or correct your opinions, but I do like to have people know the truth.

Well im a christian and i really don't care about Bill Maher, in fact i have never even watched his show. People gonna hate anyway, the Lord told us to expect this kind of thing but to remember that they hated him first.

I bet you won't see Bill Maher donating food and clothing to poor families who are on their last legs, and donating his own money to help ease the burden on these needy families. In fact, i also bet you wont see Bill Maher serving food in a soup kitchen or volunteering his time to help the homeless at homeless shelters. Nope, all he can do is make fun of the people who do these things. Well, if he wants to look like an asshole thats his priority, but if he ever decides to run for office he wont get my vote thats for sure.

Somebody applauding the death of another due to the fact they don't have health insurance says plenty for me. If you wish to continue to justify this kind of mentality, that's your deal. All this for sake of ideology I guess.

As I said, you've made up your mind. If person dies because of lack of insurance, well atleast he had his "freedom" right?

I get it though, you're break this down to try to justify the reaction of the crowd in your own terms.

No cheering and the applause was in response to what I explained earlier.

No it wasn't cheering you say! just an applause! I can just forget about it now?

I'm going to take a wild guess you get your news from the typical Democrat friendly sources.

So now we're generalizing where I get my information from because of my opposing view? And you want to complain about conservatives being lumped into one group huh? Yep, true colours showing.

Do you EVER apply these ridiculous standards and stereotypes to your side? All you post is tired liberal partisan bull#.

So let's sum up your response to me:

you get your news from the typical Democrat friendly sources.

You've always been a shill for the Democrat party and their media

tired liberal partisan bull#.

But you don't like the fact conservatives were being generalized by Bill Maher?

Yep, you've pretty much ended any point of discussing this further with you.

I also dismiss the notion anyone "cheered" about the death of a person without health insurance.

You dismiss is nothing more than denial. Fast forward to 6:06 and listen to the audiance say a person should die because they don't have healthcare.

Your upset because Maher told the truth? Have you even watched the debates? When the candidates talk about war the audience cheers. When did it become the Christian principal to applaud the death of other? What happened to love your enemy? And seeing how the Republicans has hijacked Jesus to support their cause seeing how Jesus became a capitalist somewhere down the line. The Christians will catch flak until they separate themselves from political parties.

I'm confused here, and maybe you can clear it up: how does anyone know it was Christians that cheered? I'm not aware of a "Christian cheer", unless it's "Thank you, Jesus!" or something to that effect, which wasn't heard in the audio. All I heard were people clapping and I think someone yelled "Yeah!". For all we know those were atheist Democrats.
