...So what is happening in the good ol US?

A bunch of tired, overweight campers will stroll to the bull on wall street. Arrange a nice BBQ. Sing some well chosen songs about freedom. Exchange some dark oaths to fight the TPTB, pay their yearly Alex Jones tax and then pack up and go home.

This is US. The generation that fought the likes of Nixon and LBJ are long gone.

Nothing new here folks...move along

edit on 17-9-2011 by johncarter because: (no reason given)

Move along, indeed.

I couldn't express my opinion better than what you have done here.

America's crop of young people have pledged their allegence to the corporations and banksters. There is no indication that this will ever change, regardless of the unemployment rate.. Oh, they'll bitch online and threaten that next time they will do something. But, they'll not risk pissing off the boss or causing themselves discomfort.

Alex Jones will fire them up but let them down short of anything that will cause the system to be overthrown. That would not be "profitable" for Mr Jones' media empire. Ever wonder why Alex Jones has not been "taken out" like Bill Cooper was? Could it be that Alex Jones is considered by TPTB as a useful vent for those who are fed up with government. He appeals to their frustration but never encourages anything that would "threaten" TPTB. To do that would be "crossing the line" and he seems to be satisfied to "wakeing up" the masses to get them to buy his stuff and make hisself powerful, influential and well off. Is he thus in fact doing the bidding of the very elite he claims to oppose?

No pain.....No gain

You´re right. I saw through the likes of Alex Jones years ago. At best he represents the lowest of the low. He profits on mans despair and hopes, like the slithering demon he is.

Contrary to some claims here I am no communist, nor a marxist (I doubt most americans know what that is). I am at heart a mutated crossing of liberal socialist (yet no nader lover LOL). The last president to rule our Nation I really liked was JFK. God knows what this country would have been if he had been allowed to live. Alas I was not born when he died but my father reminded me everyday of what we could have had were it not for the TPTB.

As I have travelled around in Europe and studied the various cultures there, I came to love the scandinavian socialist model. I saw with my own eyes a stable society, freedom to start business and make your own future, complete freedom of speech and press, harmonious ppl and above all 100% literacy where no child is allowed to suffer the absence of education.

It impressed me deeply and enraged me at the same time because I knew in my heart the very same thing could happen here in the good ol US.

That is if the ppl hadnt been duped to like a pavlovian dog, violently puke at words like socialism, equality between man, compassion and liberty for all. And above all, life imprisonment for lobbying and corruption on all levels between private capital and politicians.

If you speak like this in todays US, the average Joe wether he is from beautiful Missouri, from texas, from the mountainous North Dakota or California will say, what the hell are you talking about commie? Give me imagined freedom of speech and I will return to you corruption. Give me the imagined right to vote to fairly chosen candidates and I will grant you the right to plunder my life savings. For I am American, and damn proud of it!

End of ranting

4). You've provided a ranting spot for disaffected, cheese eating, rotten teeth, European surrender monkies

Bravo.

Your translation of what I said is one born out of complete ignorance. If you knew me, you'd find out I've been fighting for the "underdog" on 9/11 truth. You'd find out how much against the government, the federal reserve, bankers and corporations. You'd find out I've been arrested before for protesting and standing up for my rights. You would have probably joined in on the London riots thinking it was a revolution of some sort.

We knew people were protesting in D.C. for the Day of Rage against Wall Street, but what we weren't certain about was what exactly they stood for. There were communists, socialists, anarchists, etc wanting to over throw Wall Street. But then again, some of them weren't sure what system of government they would stand for, as I illustrated in a previous video. Wall Street is a problem, but its not the real problem, the Federal Reserve and White House are.

Being a discerning individual I find it impertinent to find out the facts before drawing a conclusion. Have you ever been in a 9/11 truth protest? How about "End the Fed" protest? I have, and our title alone told of what we protested for. "USA Day of Rage" leaves a lot of questions. This Day of so called "Rage" looks like a sit in where everyone is going to sing love songs and smoke blunts over cups of cappuccinos.

Your unfounded accusations are slanderous, get off my thread and spout off your ignorant rhetoric elsewhere.

So how did this turn into an anti american thread? Just asking. I won't be joining the protest but I sure would love too. Good luck

They aren't really doing anything though. They're playing pop songs holding a flag and signs, having fun. This is a protest against the government? I expected something like the London Riots...

Then charge them for mass murder, stealing, war crimes, drug dealing, gangsterism and anything else we can think of.

Yes I know about it. I am in europe now though. So what happened in europe and africa on their day of rage.

Well the egyptians amassed in Cairo in the hundred of thousands, stormed the TPTB buildings of their country, and inevitably arrested their creepy President, Mubarak. The tunisians chased their president and bankers out of their country, vowing to hang them if they returned. The islanders stormed their parlament, arrested the main bankers and rewrote their constitution.

The Greecs, well they stormed the streets, clashed with the police and wanted every major banker hanged, and if possible their own prime minister. This hasnt happened yet but rumours are afloat that the next rage will be tenfold bigger and bring down the entire elite with possible real executions and lamp post hangings.

So what is happening in the good ol US?

A bunch of tired, overweight campers will stroll to the bull on wall street. Arrange a nice BBQ. Sing some well chosen songs about freedom. Exchange some dark oaths to fight the TPTB, pay their yearly Alex Jones tax and then pack up and go home.

You know whats funny? I saw the date as the 17th, and right now its the 18th. I looked through all my news sources to see if any kind of big riot or revolt unfolded yesturday. From what I gather about 1000 people showed up on wall street and it was a calm, low key demostration. I guess the americans need to starve and suffer alot more before they get the required drive to actually make a change instead of what you just described.

What a bunch of spoiled fat brats.

i understand what you are saying here about now nice and stable it is there. I would like to point out to you that there are stages in the communist takeovers of countries. An ex KGB agent named Yuri Bresmenov came to the States and lectured about this process. He said that there are "Sleepers" embedded in society, and that at some point these sleepers awaken and they campaign for all sorts of issues. They create such a disturbance as to destablize the country. The country will appear stable again once they have achieved what they want.

"Now they become leaders of groups, preachers,..." "there are violent clashes.." "lead to process of crisis" "non-elected...." "some strange groups that claim they know how to lead society" "artificial body claiming power" "the workers have families to feed, they say let's have a strong government, maybe socialist" "a savior comes and says I will lead you"
He says the artificial war in lebanon by PLO...
"The next stage is normalization"
It is all soviet inspired...think it is just spontaneous all these revolutions going on around the world? It is the destabilization of any pro western regime.
The exception is the Tea Party, which is genuine grassroots. Even the admin had to denounce the Tea Party because it is a genuine opponent to the socialist plan. It will be interesting to see if this admin denounces their Komrades in anarchy.

Also it would be good to note that many socialists claim that they are not communist, but even the communist party says on their webpages that socialism is but a bridge to the more extreme communism. Classically, the socialists hated the communists because they thought they were too violent, and preferred a more subtle approach(Fabian socialism, or socialism in increments).
They found that socialism provided society with more gradual changes so that the people don't get so scared.
Even Karl Marx talks about socialism interchangeably with communism. There are indeed minor differences but the end result will be the same.

It is beneath most open minded ATS:ers to respond to this latest comment of yours but I will take a crack at your ludicrous attempt to make a coherent political statement. Obviously you suffer from the severe delusion the soviet empire is still alive and well and that Europe somehow is its bitch. As your prime evidence you show a video from the 80:s. (Geez I think I just pissed myself from all laughing).

Man, I know you come from deepest redneck country but pheew. you truly are *insert right word* as a bag of hammers. I suggest you enter that time machine and return to the 21st millenium again. Me thinks you have read to much
about crustjev, Brezhnev and the likes. It is Putin who rules now. And yes I am a secret FSB agent with american origin, a manchurian candidate, bred and raised to kick your southern right-wing tatooed behind and when ordered, take you out with an overdose of Persimmon Hill Jam and Randy's Famous Salsa...

What exactly are we hoping to achieve?

Seems more like admitting defeat to me.

"Let me just sit on this sidewalk and pretend it's bothering someone because I'm powerless".

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a revolution, but sitting around doing nothing in different areas of the country/city/landscape is still... well... sitting around doing nothing. It's not like you're Ghandi, starving yourself as a political figure that people respect.

I fear that the revolution would have to be more violent than many people would like to admit. Patriotism is not always (or usually, for that matter) peaceful, happy love-time and a bed of roses on the side. You'd have to dive into some illegal actions to get it done right, because these people manipulate legislation to make sure they can keep pushing their greed legally and anyone opposing them gets cut short.

We have a class war against thugs.

If this protest were EFFECTIVE, it would of course mean massive arrests. The THUGS are not impressed by our emails, our "peaceful marches" in designated places, and by "boycotting" small businesses. We live and breathe, we cannot help but be part of the machine -- and it is the machine that is broken.

Our military and government work for a Holding Company -- not even US thugs. It's principle purpose is cheap resources and labor.

>> But politics, economics -- we are SO FAR BEYOND THAT -- it's the eco-system and the planet now. The acidification of the ocean, climate change, real ecological changes that may reduce the "carrying capacity of the planet." Unless the elite have a bubble or a moon base -- they share the same "closed system" planet.

By the time the populace gets angry enough to make the thugs fear for their precious lives -- it may be too late.

>> Nothing we can do to change this is LEGAL. However, 40% credit cards with compounded interest, leveraged buyouts, and Transnational corporations funding campaigns for politicians who will outsource jobs IS LEGAL.

No they're the ones in power now. The baby-boomer generation was the worst thing to ever happen to this country. They got free public education through University and then revoked it because they didn't want to pay the taxes when it came their turn. Honestly if everyone born between the year 1946-1964 got lined up against the wall and shot America would be a much better place.

The vid was from the 80s true.
So you speak for all of ATS members? You do love a good collective don't you. Ad hominem attacks will get you nowhere in a discussion like this. You don't have to like what I say but insulting me or others will not make you right. You think that socialism is the answer, I don't. How does that make it beneath most ATS to respond to me? Not everyone believes that socialism will fix all the problems the evil capitalism created.

Can't take the truth from an ex KGB operative? Well that's sad. It may or may not still be the Soviet Union as they already failed their centralized planning, but Intl Socialists still abound, and they are still singing the same song.

And it's Kruschev, and he did say they would take over America from within. Putin is ex KGB you should know that. Are you trying to scare me with that bit about being FSB or just being snarky? Lol ok then.
What's the bit about Southern right wing? You do know that Missouri is Mid-western, but don't forget my Revolutionary Patriot was originally for West Virginia.
Good luck to you.
