Only version of DW worth using in my book. Same for Flash MX 2004. Anything more recent is Adobe Bloat. Last job gave me CS5--I told them to give me emacs and spend the $ on my caffeine addiction... they didnt.

as stated in my earlier post (and mentioned by other posters on this thread) Dreamweaver puts in "spaghetti code", you will not learn HTML efficiently using a WYSIWYG. if at all.

Another poster mentioned HTML-Kit!. I have used that over dreamweaver in mayn situations since i discovered the product in 2001. I have also put many other wed professionals onto it--and they love it too. It has its flaws, but it beats DW as far as im concerned.

People telling newbies to go for Dreamweaver is like telling a blogger to go with MOSS2010. Whos corporate agenda are you fulfilling?.

OpenSource is the friend of the n00b, not propriety software that costs a bundle.
