Cigar-UFO that shut down the Chinese Airport 8-17-11, page 1

First I went to the original news report from NTDTV.com

And I did a screen capture of the original image that shows a distinct bright colored cigar shaped object hovering over the airport. This is to show that no CGI editing was done to the original image that was shown on national Chinese news.

go to the original story and see for yourself the ufo is there in the original Chinese news report.

You're right there is definitely a UFO mentioned if you put the page through google translate.....but.... we have to be incredibly wary of stories that come from such countries as China or Russia where the language is so different to ours and prone to being mis-translated.

We may be able to translate the basic story but without a chinese speaker we could never be sure what is said in the video. The commentary could have been about them identifying the object or it being a hoax for all we know. Many of these stories disappear and are never verified because of language difficulties.

What is apparent if you search for 'Chongqing Airport Ufo' and similar terms is that the photo of the UFO that you screen captured is from a story that happened in August. It may just be a case of the story and pic being recycled not a new UFO sighting.

don´t think it´s a blimp to be honest.

surely a blimp wouldn´t get in the airspace of an airport, definitely not for OVER an hour.

Its hard to really tell, but it looks like a blimp to me but it is so very blurry. Why is it that 99.9% of UFO pictures always look blurry? Like no one has ever gotten a clear picture like in your face clear? You would think with all this technology we have that you could get one decent damn picture that isn't blurry.
