You have to watch the extreme amounts of rawhide. Some dogs are fine with it, but some can get digestive problems. Definitely lots of chewy type toys though is good. Mine even used to go after my firewood, they're growing out of that now. I used to have chewed up wood everywhere, but at least it wasn't the furniture....

My lab is the nervous type, probably mostly from the shepherd's way of disciplining him, but he obsesses on his feet, chewing his claws short. He also has the cleanest feet you could imagine on a dog.

So many people using crates these days, I don't think mine would be happy in a crate, they've gotten too used to the couch, and my bed.
